If you've ever registered your game on The Sims 3 website, then you can download and install the game through Origin, and you never have to keep track of a CD registration key again.
Just sign into the Origin client using the same account you registeredThe Sims 3 with and click on the My Games tab. Then just find your game, scroll over the game tile, and then click the Download button. Make sure to do this for the base game, as well as your expansions.
