Read through our glossary of the game terms you need to know to get the ultimate experience of EA SPORTS FC™.

AvatarYour EAS FC Avatar is how you’re represented when playing VOLTA FOOTBALL™ in EAS FC 24. Career ModeIn this mode, you can choose between either a Player or Manager Career and play through multiple seasons offline. 

ClubsA multiplayer mode where you can create your own Pro and play as a team in a club you create or join. 

Clubs Drop-InA quick-play mode in Clubs that matches you with up to four other players and creates an online game session against another team of up to five.
Clubs FriendliesA non-competitive game mode where you can challenge a rival club.
Clubs LeagueA game mode where you and your club compete against other clubs to climb the divisions, then battle for the top spot in your division during the Clubs Playoffs each season. 
Clubs PlayoffsA week-long event at the end of every Clubs League season where clubs compete in a set number of high-stakes matches to climb their divisional Playoff Table and win big rewards.
Clubs PracticeA game mode where you can hone your Clubs skills before a big match by playing against a CPU AI-controlled club.
Draft Token Draft Tokens can be earned through Packs or as a reward. You can use your Draft Tokens to enter the Ultimate Draft mode.
EvolutionsYou can upgrade and evolve your players by committing them to an Evolution slot and completing challenges related to that player. Once you complete the challenges, that player gets permanent upgrades.

FC PointsFC Points are in-game currency bought with real money that can be used to buy Packs, access the Ultimate Draft mode, and other Items.

K-O

Kick-OffA classic mode for quick matches with adjustable settings and house rule options.
Online SeasonsA 1v1 online game mode that uses authentic clubs, where you can complete online seasons with a promotion and relegation system.
Online Seasons CupA knockout tournament consisting of a round of 16 matches, a quarter-final, semi-final, and final. You get one online play-off match for each round. A loss knocks you out of the tournament while a win promotes you to the next round.
Online FriendliesA game mode where you can invite a friend to play online and keep track of your competition over five games. The player with the most points at the end of those five games wins.
Online Co-Op SeasonsA game mode where you can team up with a friend online and play against two other players in 2v2 ranked online play.
Online Co-Op Seasons CupA game mode where you can invite a friend to play online in a knockout tournament, consisting of a round of 16 matches, a quarter-final, semi-final, and final. You get one online play-off match for each round. A loss knocks you out of the tournament while a win promotes you to the next round.

P–T

PacksSets of Items, which can include Player Items, acquired through the in-game store or earned through gameplay. Packs can be obtained with Ultimate Team™ Coins or FC Points.

Player ItemsThese Items represent individual in-game players with different stats and ratings, used to build teams. Player Items are for Ultimate Team™ only.

PointsAn in-game currency that you can buy or earn by playing the game. You can use Points to get Packs and Items from the Ultimate Team™ Store, Draft Entries, Evolutions, or the Season Pass (EAS FC 25 only).

RushA fast-paced 5v5 mode in EAS FC 25, where you play on a small-sided pitch with four other players. It’s available in four modes: Ultimate Team™, Clubs, Manager Career, and Kick-off.
Season PassSeason Pass lets you earn rewards by playing the following modes in EA SPORTS FC™ 25: Career Mode, Ultimate Team™, and Clubs. You can level up your Season Pass by completing Daily, Weekly, Seasonal, and Dynamic challenges within these modes.

Squad Building Challenges (SBCs)Complete SBCs by submitting Player Items that meet each challenge's requirements. SBCs can provide Packs, Ultimate Team™ Coins, or other Items as rewards.
Skill GamesA game mode where you can practice different skills and techniques to improve your gameplay.
StoreA store in Ultimate Team™ and Clubs, where you can get Packs and other in-game Items using Coins and Points.
Transfer MarketAn in-game marketplace where you can buy and sell Items using Ultimate Team™ Coins.

U–Z

Ultimate Team™A mode where you can build your own dream team and play matches against other members of the EAS FC community. 
Ultimate Team™ ChampionsA multiplayer mode in Ultimate Team™. You can earn rewards like Ultimate Team Coins™ and Packs. 

Ultimate Team™ CoinsAn in-game currency earned through certain actions including playing matches and completing some objectives. These can be used to obtain Player Items on the Transfer Market and offers from the Ultimate Team™ Store.

Ultimate Team™ Rivals
Ultimate Team™ Rivals is a PvP (Player vs. Player) mode in EA SPORTS FC™ Ultimate Team™. You’ll compete online against real players with similar skill levels in ranked matches.
You’ll need to win matches to climb the ladder and increase your Rank and Division to potentially earn better rewards.

Ultimate Draft™A game mode where you can draft your own team and compete in knockout tournaments.
Ultimate Team™ Friendlies (Play A Friend)A fun and relaxed game mode where you can choose to play online against your friends.
Ultimate Team™ Friendlies (Play Online)A fun and relaxed game mode, where you can play against random opponents online.
Ultimate Team™ MomentsA single-player game mode in Ultimate Team™ in EAS FC 24, where you’ll need to complete short challenges and scenarios to earn rewards. 
Ultimate Team™ ObjectivesUltimate Team™ Objectives are in-game challenges that you complete to earn rewards and Player Items for your Ultimate Team™.

Ultimate Team™ Squad BattlesSquad Battles is an Ultimate Team™ mode where you take on CPU AI-controlled squads from the Ultimate Team™ community to earn Battle Points, improve your Rank, and earn rewards.

VOLTA ARCADEA game mode in EAS FC 24 that’s only available on weekends. In this mode, you can play solo or battle it out with up to three friends across a series of Party Games, including Foot Tennis, Dodgeball, and more.
VOLTA BATTLESA solo game mode in EAS FC 24 to test your street skills against AI opponents. You’ll play in a variety of venues worldwide to gain battle points and unlock rewards.
VOLTA FOOTBALL™A game mode in EAS FC 24 that can be played solo or co-op, featuring street football games played in various locations around the world. You’ll have to create an avatar before playing this mode.
VOLTA SQUADSAn online 5v5 (four human Avatars per team and one CPU AI goalkeeper) in EAS FC 24 street football mode that can be played either solo or with up to three friends.
Web and Companion AppsThe Web and Companion Apps help you manage your Ultimate Team™ from your PC or mobile device. From here you can manage your Ultimate Team™ club, obtain Packs, access the Transfer Market, complete Squad Building Challenges, and more.
