Your EA Account Privacy Settings help put you in control of your gaming experience.

Different settings make it easier to find and connect with friends, let you play privately, block harassment, and personalize your gaming experience.

Go to the Privacy Settings tab in My Account.

Make sure to click Update once you’ve made your changes to save them.

There are a number of different ways to set up your profile. Here’s what you can do to make your settings work for you.

Preferred Data Usage

EA in-game targeted advertising

This setting controls what data will be used to show you advertising, reminders, and in-game offers we think you may be interested in.

If you turn it off by unchecking EA in-game targeted advertising in the Privacy Settings tab, you might still see ads from EA, but they won’t be based on information collected across EA games.

EA targeted advertising on third-party websites and platforms

This setting controls whether EA shares data from your EA Account with our third-party partners for EA-targeted advertising on other websites and platforms.

EA targeted advertising for mobile games

To control targeted marketing in our mobile games, you’ll need to review your preferences in your game's settings menu.

Each mobile game is different, but look for an option labeled Privacy or Privacy Settings. From there, you’ll find the settings for EA targeted advertising and third-party targeted ads.

Profile Privacy

Who can see my EA Account profile?

Decide who can see your activity on EA platforms like the EA app. There are four options to choose from:

  • Everyone: Any player can view your profile, even if you're not friends with them. Anyone can be recommended to you as a friend.
  • Friends: Only your friends can view your profile.
  • Friends of friends: Your friends and their friends will be able to see your profile. These are players who may be recommended to you as a friend.
  • No one: You’ll be the only one able to see your achievements, game library, friends list, and wishlist. You also won’t get any friend recommendations.

What else can users see on my profile?

Want other players to see your achievements? Check the Achievements box. If not, leave it unchecked.

You can also choose whether you want your real name to appear on your profile by checking the Real Name box. If not, leave it unchecked.

How can users search for me?

Check the boxes to choose how other players can search for your profile.

If you have an adult EA Account, one way other players can find you is through other accounts linked to your EA Account:

  • Xbox gamertag
  • PlayStation™ Network Online ID (PSN ID)
  • Nintendo Account
  • Steam Account Name.

Other players will be able to find you if they search for the email address you use for your EA Account.

Blocked Users List

Having problems with another player? Blocking limits communication between you and the other player when you’re playing on an EA platform, or if you’re playing an EA game on any other platform.

You can unblock players by removing them from your EA Blocked Users List at any time.

Blocked players may appear in parties created by other players in games that incorporate EA connect, but you’ll be notified if this happens and can mute them.

If you want to block someone from contacting you completely, check out these helpful articles on blocking other players.
