We have a workaround for Games for Windows Live games & Windows 8 issues.
Some players may have experienced issues with their Games for Windows Live (GFWL) game on Windows 8. We found a workaround to resolve this issue.
Follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Games for Windows Live Website and download the GFWL client.
- Right-click the downloaded file and go to Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab and put a check next to Run This Program in Compatibility Mode
- Choose Windows 7 and put a check next to Run This Program As An Administrator.
- Once those two options are checked, press OK and then run/launch the installer executable.
- After installation is completed, your GFWL games should now work properly
