If you can’t get into your EA Account, it could stand in your way on launch day. We don’t want that.
Check out what we’ve got to help make sure you can #GetInTheEAGame.
We’ve got 5 simple steps to get your account updated and ready to play.
To update your account details:
It’s super important that the email address on your EA Account is up to date. It’s key to making sure you can get back into your account if you forget your password or when you want to update your information.
Swap emails from one account to another, if you’ve changed your email address or you don’t have access to the one you used to create your account.
Add a secondary email
A secondary email address helps you reset your password if you’re locked out of your EA Account and primary email address.
Learn how to set it up in our article on updating your EA Account information.
Login Verification is a great way to help keep your account safe and secure. Make sure you’re getting your Login Verification codes so you can get signed in.
Playing FIFA? We require Login Verification.
Reset your password if you forgot it or it needs updating.
If you’ve played one of our games before, you’re probably already linked. But double-check before you start playing just to be sure:
Like most games, we have rules. Our rules make sure that you, and players like you, have fun and stay safe while playing our games.
Read them, love them, live by them.
Playing on PC? Check to see that your computer meets the minimum requirements for the game you’re going to play.
The EA Desktop app is currently in Beta, so only some players have access. Find out more in our article.
Once you’ve checked your specs, use our article on downloading and playing games to get into the action.
Use our tips to redeem your codes for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
If you bought a physical copy of a game, any code you get will be included in the packaging or on the receipt from the retailer you bought it from. If you bought a digital copy of a game, your code will be emailed to you if you need one. If you don’t get a code for a digital copy, it may already be redeemed on your account so you can log in and play right away.
Your code will be a string of numbers and letters, and will look something like this: ABCD-1234-EFGH-5678
Tip: After you type in the code, read it backwards. You'll spot mistakes easier.

Digital copies should install to your system as soon as your download is done.
If you need help installing your games:
If your installation freezes, gets stuck, or fails, your game file may have corrupted while downloading.
We recommend deleting or manually uninstalling any files that made it through the installation process, then download and install your game again.
Once you install your game, restart your game or console. This makes sure your system checks for game updates.
You’ll need both an EA Account and a Nintendo Account to play our Nintendo Switch games, including FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT).
If you live in the European Union, the minimum age for an adult account may have changed in your country under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If the GDPR lowers the minimum age for an adult account, you may be eligible for an adult account sooner.
