Linking your account to Game Center or Google Play saves your game information

If you’ve linked your account to Game Center or Google Play, your game information is saved and secure.

Sometimes, upgrading apps or your device's operating system can sign you out of your Game Center or Google Play account without telling you.

If this happens, when you log into Galaxy of Heroes you may think that your account is missing or that your saved information has been lost.

If your game is linked to Game Center or Google Play, you can recover it, your progress, and your units by logging back into your account.

Google Play accounts (Android):

1. Open the Settings menu in-game by tapping on the Gear icon in the top left of the cantina screen.
2. If you’re logged out, you’ll see a button that says Sign into Google Play.
3. Tap that button and you’ll be asked to confirm that you’re logging out of the current account.
4. Tap Confirm and your game will reload.
5. After the reload, you’ll be asked if you want to Play as Guest or Sign into Google Play.
6. Tap Sign in to Google Play and once you have logged in, your linked game will load.

Game Center accounts (iOS):

1. On your device, tap Settings then Game Center.
2. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
   • If you’re already logged in to a different Apple ID on your device, tap that Apple ID, then tap Sign Out
   • Tap Sign In, then enter your Apple ID and password that was linked with your game
3. Close and restart the game and it will load up your linked account.

Check if you’re currently logged in on your device:

On an Android device:

Open the Settings menu in-game by tapping on the Gear icon in the top left of the cantina screen.

• If there’s a button that says Sign into Google Play, then that game is linked to a Google Play account.
• If there’s a button that says Sign in with Google Play, then that game is not linked to a Google Play account and is a Guest account.

On iOS:

Go to Settings, then Game Center on your device.

• If there’s an Apple ID logged in to Game Center, you should be on a linked game.
• If there’s no Apple ID logged in, then you should be on a Guest (unlinked) game.

What if my game was not linked to Game Center or Google Play?

Games that are not linked to Game Center or Google Play are saved as Guest accounts on your device.

Guest accounts are not portable, and are restricted to the device they were created on.

If you have been logged in to an account on your device and would like to access a previously created guest account, you can do so by logging out of your linked account and restarting the game.

Android:

1. Open the Settings menu in-game by tapping on the Gear icon in the top left of the cantina screen.
2. Choose Sign out of Google Play.
3. When the game restarts, choose Play as Guest in order to bring up the Guest account

iOS:

1. Go to Settings, then Game Center on your device.
2. Sign out of any Apple ID that is listed in Game Center.
   • Do not log into Game Center on another Apple ID.   
3. Close and restart the game to bring up the Guest account.

If the steps above don’t get you back into your account, contact us. If possible, please include the Ally Code or Player ID for the missing account.
