Get the info you need if you’re playing STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™ on Steam.

When you download and launch Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ through Steam for the first time, you’ll be asked to sign in to the SW:TOR launcher. Doing this links your SW:TOR account to the Steam account that’s currently signed in on your computer.

If you’re on a shared computer, make sure you’re logged in to your personal Steam account every time you log in to SW:TOR.

What if I linked the wrong account?

Head over to SWTOR.com and follow the steps on this page to unlink your account.

Properties menu showing SWTOR Language options on Steam.

I bought something on Steam but I can’t see it in game

If you were logged into the game when you made your purchase, try logging out and back in again. This forces the system to refresh your account and add any purchases you’ve made. If it’s still not there, check your email for a receipt from Steam to make sure the transaction went through.

I subscribed, but the game still thinks I’m not a subscriber

If you were logged into the game when you subscribed, try quitting the game entirely and logging back in again. Your subscriber status should update on a new login.

If it doesn’t, check your email for a receipt from Steam to make sure your subscription payment went through successfully.

If it did, and you’re still not showing as a subscriber in-game, follow these steps to get help:

  1. Go to your Steam purchase history:
    • Log in to the Steam client
    • Click on your username at the top right.
    • Choose Account Details.
  2. Take a screenshot of your entire account details page, clearly showing your Steam account name and Steam ID number. These screenshots must be unedited so we can verify your account details..

Steam account browser page showing the required account details.

  3. Click on View Purchase History.
  4. Take a screenshot of your entire Purchase History screen, clearly showing the SW:TOR transaction.
  5. Steam Purchase History browser page showing a SWTOR transaction.

  6. Click in to the transaction, and screenshot that page too.
    • You should now have three screenshots showing your account details, your purchase history, and a screenshot of the transaction.
  7. Contact SW:TOR support and make sure to provide your SW:TOR User ID. Please attach all three screenshots when prompted.

Can I link my old SW:TOR account to Steam?

If you already have a SW:TOR account, you can link it to Steam. Add the game to your Steam Library, download it, and sign in with your SW:TOR credentials to link them.

I bought a pack through Steam but it won’t let me buy another one

You can buy either a regular or Deluxe version of a pack. If you try to buy another version of the pack, Steam will block the purchase because you already own some of the content.

Contact SW:TOR support and provide your SW:TOR User ID if you need help with:

  • technical troubleshooting
  • an in-game issue
  • your SW:TOR account
  • a purchase you made
  • your subscription
