Learn how to send and accept gifts with friends in Apex Legends.
Who can send and receive gifts?
All purchases are final. Make sure you’re sending your gift to the correct account on the correct platform. If you send it to the wrong person, even if they’re banned, we might not be able to help.
Send gifts in Apex Legends
To send your friend a gift, you need to:- be Level 50 or higher in Apex Legends
- have enough Apex Coins on your account for the gift
- be friends in-game for at least two weeks-platform friendships don’t count
- have sent no more than five gifts in the past 24 hours
- have an account in good standing.
Receive gifts in Apex Legends
To get gifts from a friend, you need to:- be friends with them for at least two weeks
- have an account in good standing.
How to add friends in Apex Legends
You need to add friends through the Apex Legends Friends menu to send and receive gifts. Follow these steps to add your friends in Apex Legends.How to send gifts
- 1From the lobby, go to the Store.
- 2Find the item or bundle you want to gift.
- 3Select Gift.
- If you haven’t turned on 2FA, set that up on your account now. A pop-up with a QR code will appear with instructions.
- 4Choose your friend from the friend list.
- 5Confirm the final Apex Coin amount and select Gift.
- Gift prices can vary depending on what the friend you’re gifting to already owns.
- 6Under Unlock with, select the Apex Coins to buy the gift.
- 7The message will read as Success to confirm you sent your gift.
How to accept gifts
Gifts are automatically added to your inventory after your friend sends them. You don’t have to do anything to accept them.To see your gift, check your inbox.- 1In the Lobby, you’ll see a notification in your inbox.
- A gift icon will also appear next to your inbox.
- 2Select your inbox.
- 3To see the gift and who it was from, select the Gift Received message.
- 4Select View Items to see your gifts.
- 5To equip your gifts, go to your Inventory.
What can you gift in Apex Legends?
You can gift:
- Legends
- Legend Passes
- Battle Passes
- select Store offers.
No, you can’t gift Apex Coins.
You can’t gift your friend an item they already own unless it’s part of a bundle.If you give your friend a bundle with an item they already own, you’ll get a discount on the bundle, and they'll get any other items they don't already own. To view the discounted amount, open the gifting window and click on your friend’s name. The Apex Coin total will update and be discounted based on what item(s) your friend already has.
No, you can only buy gifts with Apex Coins.
No, you can’t gift items from your inventory. You need to buy gifts with Apex Coins.
Gifts are final and non-refundable. Before sending your friend a gift, make sure you’re gifting to the right account on the right platform, and your friend’s account isn’t banned.
Troubleshooting gifts
Gifts are automatically added to your inventory, and you’ll get a notification in your inbox when they arrive. If you’re not seeing your gift, try going back to the Lobby, then back to your inventory, to find your gift.
If you get a gift that you later can’t find in your inventory, contact us and we’ll look into it for you. Make sure you contact us within 30 days, or we might not be able to help. You can contact us from the bottom of this page to get started.
Having trouble with 2FA? Make sure the EA Account you’re using to play Apex Legends is the same one that’s logged in on your EA Account settings. You can check which account you’re logged in to using the steps in this article.
You need to buy more Apex Coins before you can send your friend a gift. Follow these steps to buy more Coins.
Your friend may show as ineligible if:
- your friend already has the item you’re trying to gift
- your friend’s account isn’t in good standing
- there are regional requirements that prevent you from sending the gift to your friend.
Only players you’re friends with in-game will appear on your gifting list. If your friend doesn’t appear here, your friend may need to accept your friend request in-game. Once they do, you can send them gifts when you’ve been friends in-game for at least two weeks. If you’re playing on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch™, or Steam, you need to make sure you’re friends in-game, not just on the platform.
You can only send five gifts in every 24-hour period. You’ll get this error if you’ve maxed out your gifts in a 24-hour period and need to wait before you can send more.
This can happen when there’s a game or server issue. Wait until it’s fixed before trying again. Check the Apex Legends servers.
