These errors usually pop up when something’s wrong with your EA Account, login status, or platform connection.Common messages include:To troubleshoot:
- your EA Account is logged in on multiple devices
- your credentials are invalid
- you don’t meet the minimum age requirement.
- make sure you’re signed in to the right EA Account
- secure your account by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA)
- sign out of other devices, especially if you’ve recently played on another console or PC
- restart your platform and the EA app.
These errors show up when there’s something wrong with the game license or authentication.Common messages include: This issue has been fixed. You can check your content’s been installed with these steps. If you’re still having trouble after you’ve installed or reinstalled any content:
- multiplayer not installed
- purchase to play.
- 1Open the Settings menu.
- 2Select System.
- 3Under Setup, select Edit next to Install/Uninstall.
- 4From here, you’ll be able to manage your files.
- If your content isn’t checked off, check the box to install it.
- If your error message mentioned certain files, uncheck the box for that content, then recheck the box to reinstall it.
- You’ll need to close the game while your content installs.

- your connection timed out.

- check the server status and your platform’s network connection
- use a wired connection if you can
- adjust settings like firewall, VPN, or NAT type if needed.
These errors happen when you’re trying to join a server, match, or party.Common messages include:To troubleshoot:
- you can’t join this match right now
- this server is full
- global game quota exceeded
- you’ve already joined this match
- you don’t meet the requirements to join this server.
- refresh your server list or expand your matchmaking filters
- wait and try again if the server is full or at capacity
- install any updates and restart if your game is out of date
- make sure cross-play is turned on if the error message tells you to.
You might need to be a certain rank to complete a challenge. If you notice that a challenge isn’t working or tracking in-game, check to see if there are reports of it on EA Forums. - check for corrupted files or pending game updates
- clear your cache or repair the game in the EA app if you’re on PC.
- Error code 1:85009s: make sure you’re not using a VPN and that your DNS is stable.
