What is The World's Game in EA SPORTS FC™ 26?

The World’s Game lets you play a large-scale international competition from start to finish.You can:
  • compete with any national team—up to 48 playable teams total
  • play through group stages and knockout rounds
  • progress match-by-match to win the tournament

How do I start The World's Game Tournament?

    Go to the Main Menu.
  2. 2
    Select The World's Game.
  3. 3
    Select Play Tournament.
  4. 4
    Choose your favorite team to get started.  
The next time you log in, you can select Continue Tournament to keep playing, or Play Tournament to start a new tournament with a different team. 

How do I choose my team?

Before The World’s Game begins, select a national team.
  • Browse teams by group.
  • View team details like rating, kits, and flags.
  • Confirm your team to enter.
You can also replace teams with other available teams and swap teams between groups.

How The World’s Game works in EA SPORTS FC™ 26

Group stage

  • 12 groups of four teams.
  • Each team plays three matches.
  • The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stage.  
    • The eight best 3rd place teams qualify 

Knockout stage

The knockout stage begins with the Round of 32 and progresses through:
  • Round of 32
  • Round of 16
  • Quarter-finals
  • Semi-finals
  • Final  

Progression rules

Teams advance based on results in group matches. Tiebreakers are decided on points, goal difference, and goals scored.You can also complete objectives while playing The World’s Game to earn rewards.

How do I manage my game from The World’s Game hub?

From the hub, you can:
  • play your next match
  • view standings in Standings
  • track progress in Tournament Tree
  • manage your squad in Team Management
  • check stats like top scorers.  
There are a few ways you can adjust how you play the tournament:
  • change settings from the event hub
  • simulate matches or play them manually
  • swap or replace teams before starting.
