What is Power Progression?
Power Progression is a new system in Madden NFL Mobile that gives you more control over leveling up your roster. It connects multiple features—including Evolution (EVO), Traits, and Chemistry—into one strategic loop that helps boost your Overall Rating (OVR).You can evolve your favorite cards to keep pace with the latest OVR caps, plus the EVO system allows you to mulch higher-OVR cards of the same rarity to upgrade another card. Some Evolutions have contextual requirements (like specific stat lines or lineups) that add more strategy.
Why does Power Progression matter?
- Keep high-value cards active longer by evolving them.
- EVO keeps Traits, Chemistry, and bonus slots intact during upgrades.
- It reduces the need to swap out full lineups when new cards drop.
Player traits
Player traits are a new feature that acts like gear for your roster. Player traits are bound to a specific card and add gameplay bonuses to that player. Each one enhances certain attributes (like speed, awareness, or tackle power). Your player’s trait will then trigger during live gameplay. When it does, the action will show on screen.Traits can’t be transferred to other cards, so you’ll need to be strategic when assigning player traits to a player.Keep in mind:
- players with higher rarity can equip more and better player traits
- player traits influence under-the-hood ratings, making subtle but important gameplay shifts
- choosing the right player trait mix is key for building diverse lineups.
How to get player traits
- Earn gear through minigames like Jigsaw and Spin.
- Level up cards and use EVO to unlock more powerful Trait slots.
