Overview

Find out how to update your Windows operating system or macOS to get the most out of the EA app.

How to update your operating system

  1. 1
Open the Windows Start menu and search for Settings.
  2. 2
In Settings, find or search for Windows Update.
  3. 3
Select Check for updates. If there are any available, update your PC.
Go to Microsoft Support to learn more about updating Windows.
The EA app doesn’t support 32-bit versions of Windows. Check if your PC has a 64-bit-capable processor. If your PC doesn’t have one, you’ll need to use a newer computer to play your games on the EA app.

Before you update

  • Backup your files so you don’t lose anything important.
  • Find out which version of Windows or macOS you’re currently running to see if you need to update.
  • Check if your PC or Mac device meets system requirements.
If you need help, go to Microsoft Support for PC or Apple Support for Mac.
If you’ve enabled cloud saves on your PC, your saved game data will transfer automatically.Some games don’t have cloud save capabilities. Those saves, and any saves on a Mac device, will need to be transferred manually to an updated device.
