- This is designed to stop you from spamming name changes. Once you’ve found a name that works for you, and that PunkBuster will allow, stick with it.
- #114 - Protected Name
- The name you’ve chosen is already in use or is reserved. You might see this if you’re using symbols in your name. Switch servers or use a name made up of letters and numbers.
- #121 - Negative Score Too Low
- You’ve racked up too many friendly fire kills.
- #151 - Extended ASCII Characters in Player Name
- You’re using unusual symbols instead of letters or numbers in your name. Use a name made up of letters and numbers.
Error #89265

PunkBuster will display an error message if the software is not running correctly for any reason.Kick error messages vary, but usually say something like:
- You've been kicked from this server by PunkBuster.
- We couldn't keep you connected to this server because you have been kicked by the PunkBuster system.

If your error message mentions Losing Key Packets, make sure that PnkBstrA.exe, PnkBstrB.exe, and PnkBstrK.sys are all on the exceptions list of your firewall/anti-virus software.
