Overview

The Archery skill in The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack lets Sims test their aim with bows and arrows. Your Sims can practice, compete, bowfish, and even unlock new bows as they level up. This guide covers how to build the Archery skill, what each level unlocks, and the cheats you can use to max out the skill quickly.

About the Archery skill

The Archery skill comes with The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack, and is a level 5 skill. 
  • Elder, Adult, Young Adult, Teen, and Child Sims can all build this skill. 
    • As Child Sims build the Archery skill, they’ll also build their Motor skill. 
  • At level 4 of this skill, your Sim can Bowfish. This will build both the Archery and Fishing skill.  

How to build Archery skill

Some interactions are only unlocked when your Sim reaches a certain level of skill.

Practice Archery

The simplest way to build the Archery skill is by picking up a bow and arrow! Buy the Bullseye! Archery Target from Build Mode to get started.  

Go to a skill-building class

If you own The Sims 4 Discover University Expansion Pack, your Sim can attend skill-building classes. These are rabbit-holes, so your Sim will leave the Lot for some time and then come back when the class is over.

    In Live Mode, select your Sim’s phone.

    Open the Business app (the briefcase icon).
  3. 3
    Choose Sit in on Skill Class (§250).
  4. 4
    In the pop-up menu, choose Archery.
Note: Skill Classes are only available between 9 AM - 9 PM.  

Archery skill levels

As your Sim levels up through this skill, they’ll unlock different bow types. At the start, they’ll use the Beginner Bow, then the Advanced Bow, and finally the Expert Bow.Want to use a specific bow? Once you reach level three of the skill, you’ll unlock the Choose Bow Type option on the Archery Target.

At this level, your Sim can Practice Archery on the Bullseye! Archery Target and take part in Archery Competitions. 

This level unlocks:
  • Start Archery Competition interaction at Archery Targets.
  • Acclaim about Archery interaction. 

This level unlocks:
  • Discuss Archery Techniques interaction.
  • The Advanced Bow. 

This level unlocks:
  • The ability to mentor other Sims at Archery.
  • The ability to Bowfish.
  • The Expert Bow. 

This level unlocks the ability to shoot an apple off another Sim’s head.

Archery skill cheats

When using skill cheats, type in the number of the level you want to reach. For example, putting stats.set_skill_level skill_Archery 3 into the cheat bar will get your Sim’s Archery skill up to level 3.

    Press Control + Shift + C to open the cheat dialogue box.

    Type testingcheats true and press Enter to turn on cheats. 
  3. 3
    Type stats.set_skill_level skill_Archery [skill level] and press Enter.
