About the Criminal career in The Sims 4

The Criminal career comes with The Sims 4 Base Game and has two career branches:
  • Boss
  • Oracle.
To join this career, select Find a Job from the phone or computer and choose Criminal.A Sim, wearing black and white, laughs as they survey high-value Items including a necklace and a stack of gold bars.

Criminal career tasks

Want your Sim to rise through the criminal underworld? Complete their career tasks to unlock promotions and rewards. These tasks change depending on which rank of the career your Sim is at. To check what tasks your Sim needs to complete, open the Career Panel (the briefcase icon in the bottom right of the screen) in Live Mode. 

How to Hack or Make Viruses

To Hack, your Sim needs to have a Level 2 Programming Skill.

    Using the computer, select More Choices > Program > Hack. 
  2. 2
    Choose which business your Sim wants to hack.
To Make a Virus, your Sim needs to have a Level 4 Programming Skill.
  1. Using the computer, select More Choices > Program > Make Virus.

When your Sim is promoted to rank 5, you’ll choose between the Boss or Oracle career path.

Criminal career promotion cheats

Using this cheat promotes your Sim by one rank in the Criminal career. You can use it multiple times to reach the top of the career path.

    Press Control + Shift + C to open the cheat dialogue box. 
  2. 2
    Type testingcheats true and press Enter to turn on cheats. 
  3. 3
    Type careers.promote criminal into the cheat dialogue box and press Enter.
