Playing an EA game on Xbox, PlayStation®, Nintendo Switch, or Google Stadia? Here’s how to link your accounts.

How to link Unlinking Why to link Having trouble?

You can’t link a child EA Account to platforms. Learn more about child accounts and online access.

On your platform

  1. Open one of our games on your PlayStation®, Xbox, or Switch.
    • For Google Stadia, you can use the account linking page.
    • Some games ask you to log in at the start, while others prompt you to sign into EA servers when you try to access online modes.
  2. Enter the email address and password for your primary EA Account when you’re asked to log in.
  3. Once you’ve signed in, your accounts will be linked.

On EA Help

  1. Click Log In at the top of any page on EA Help.
  2. Choose the option to sign in using your platform credentials.
  3. EA Help sign-in prompt with first-party login buttons for Google, Facebook, Apple, Steam, Xbox Live, and PSN.

  4. Fill in the login details from your platform in the pop-up.
    • If your EA Account and the account you’re linking use the same email address, you will be prompted to verify your login.
  5. All set! Your accounts are linked.

I want to link my EA Account to another service

You can follow these steps to link your EA Account to Prime Gaming, Steam, or Twitch.

How can I check if I’ve linked my account?

You can check if you’ve linked your accounts before by checking your Connections page on myaccount.ea.com. Any Xbox gamertags and PlayStation™Network Online IDs that are linked to your EA Account will show under Connections. Connected Nintendo Accounts and Stadia Accounts won’t show here.

You should only have to link your accounts, but you may have to log in again if:

  • you’re playing an older EA game
  • you’ve switched gamertags, PlayStation™Network IDs, Nintendo, or Stadia Accounts
  • you’ve removed all your trusted devices from your EA Account
  • you’re playing on a new platform
  • you’ve upgraded to the next generation of platform
    • That means if you upgraded to an Xbox Series S or X from an Xbox One, or a PlayStation 5 from a PlayStation 4.
    • Did you upgrade? If you’re using the same PlayStation™Network ID or gamertag, make sure you use the same EA Account you used before, too.

Can I link multiple platform account IDs?

An EA Account can only have one of each platform account linked at a time. This means that you can’t link an EA Account to two PlayStation™Network IDs, for example. Instead, you’ll need to create a new EA Account to link to your additional platform accounts.

If you try to link additional accounts, you’ll get a message that says Linked accounts found.

If you already have multiple platform accounts linked to an EA Account, they’ll stay linked, but you won’t be able to add more. We suggest choosing your preferred accounts when you link them together.

Can I link a sub-account?

Sub-accounts that share Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation®Plus won’t be able to connect to EA Accounts to play online.

If you made your EA Account using the same email address you use for your platform-specific account, load any EA game on your Xbox, PlayStation®, Switch, or Google Stadia and your accounts should automatically connect.

You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as your EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before.

All your EA game progress is linked to your EA Account, not your platform account. That means if you do end up deciding to unlink your persona from one account to link it to another, you’ll lose your game progress.

Linking your EA Account to your platform profiles, like your Xbox gamertag, PlayStation™Network Online ID, Nintendo Account, or Stadia Account lets you get online to play our games and save your progress. However, your game progress won’t be able to cross different platforms (like PlayStation to Xbox).

How can I check if I already have an EA Account?

You should already have an EA Account if you’ve bought games from our store or played an EA game online with your platform.

If you don’t have one, you can create an account.

  1. Try logging in on ea.com to see if you're already signed up. If you aren’t sure what email to use, try the email address you use for your Nintendo, Google Stadia, PlayStation™Network, or Xbox Live account.
  2. If you don’t remember your password, click Forgot Your Password? to reset it.
  3. Check your email (including your spam/junk folders) for a link to reset your password.
    • If you get an email, congrats! You’ve already got an EA Account linked to that email address.
    • If you don’t get an email after 5–10 minutes, repeat these steps for any other email address you might have used instead.

Once you’re logged in, check your About Me section on myaccount.ea.com to see your Connected Accounts. Any Xbox gamertags and PlayStation™Network Online IDs that are connected to your EA Account will show here, but connected Nintendo Accounts won’t.

I can’t log in to my EA Account from PlayStation®, Xbox, Switch, or Stadia

If it’s been a while since you played an EA game, try logging into your EA Account from your computer or mobile device.

If you’re logging in on a mobile device, open help.ea.com and tap the menu button (it looks like three lines) at the top right to find how to Log In:

Once you get signed in, restart your platform, start your game, and you should be good to go.

I used to have an EA Account, but I don’t have access to the email for it anymore. What can I do?

I think I linked to the wrong EA Account

Don't worry! We have a few options for you.

  • If your Xbox gamertag, PlayStation™Network Online ID, Nintendo Account, and/or Stadia Account are linked to an EA Account you don’t use, you can update that account to get back in the game.
  • If you made a second account with your primary email address, you can move the email to the account with your games.
  • If you’ve got multiple EA Accounts with games on them, one of our advisors may be able to help combine your accounts. You’ll need to be able to access both accounts, and not everything will transfer over, like game progress.

I’m getting an invalid or ineligible account error

Try resetting your EA Account password, and make sure that the platform you’re trying to use is connected to your EA Account. To do this:

  1. Click the Log In button at the top of any help.ea.com page.
  2. Click on the Accounts dropdown in the middle of the screen, then choose Account Security.
  3. Go to the Connections tab.
  4. Scroll down to Connected Accounts. If you don’t see your platform, it isn’t linked.
