Apex Coins are an in-game currency in Apex Legends™. They can be used to get Apex Packs†, items in the Store, and new Legends.
To get Apex Coins, you need to buy them with real-world money.
You can buy Apex Coins in the in-game Store by following these steps.
You can also buy Apex Coins at the Official Store or through other trusted retailers.
You can earn some Apex Coins as rewards from a Season’s Battle Pass. There are no other ways to get free Apex Coins.
You can’t gift Apex Coins to other players.
Your Apex Coins are kept in a Wallet. Some platforms use different Wallets, so you may not be able to use your Apex Coins across all platforms.
Once you’ve bought an item, it’ll be available on all platforms. Platform exclusive items won’t be shared across platforms.
If you buy Apex Coins on the Nintendo Switch™, you can only access these Apex Coins on your Nintendo Switch™.
You’ll only see these Apex Coins while you’re logged in on the Nintendo Switch™, and you won’t see this balance on other platforms. You also won’t see your Wallet from other platforms when logged in to the Nintendo Switch™.
You’ll use this Wallet on all other platforms. It’ll show any Apex Coins you’ve bought on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation. You won’t be able to see it on the Nintendo Switch™, and it won’t include any Apex Coins you’ve bought on the Nintendo Switch™.
If you get a refund in real-world currency, we’ll take an equivalent amount of Apex Coins from your Wallet. This amount is equal to the amount you were refunded.
If you get a refund in real-world currency, we’ll take an equivalent amount of Apex Coins from your Wallet. If you don’t have enough Apex Coins to cover your refund, your balance will be negative.
New purchases of Apex Coins will first be applied to your negative balance.
Exotic Shards are an in-game currency that you can use to get Artifact customizations and other in-game items. You need to buy Exotic Shards with real-world money.
Once you’ve got Exotic Shards, you can use them in the Store.
No, you can’t gift Exotic Shards.
