Find out how to update your Windows operating system to get the most out of the EA app.

The EA app is our enhanced platform for PC games. Optimized for the best user experience, it lets you easily find what you need and get into the game quicker than ever. Don’t have it yet? Download it here.

Check whether you need to update

Find out which version of Windows you’re currently running on your PC to see if you need to update it.

The EA app doesn’t support 32-Bit versions of Windows.

You’ll need to upgrade to a 64-Bit operating system on your device to play your games. See if the version of Windows you’re running is 32 or 64-bit.

Install the latest version of Windows

Before installing an update, check to see if your device meets system requirements.

Next, back up your files so you don’t lose anything important.

Once you’re ready, follow these steps from Microsoft Support to update Windows.

To run a 64-bit version of Windows, make sure your PC has a 64-bit-capable processor.

If your PC doesn’t have one, you’ll need to use a newer computer to play your games on the EA app.

Will my saved game data transfer over?

If you’ve enabled cloud saves, your saved game data will transfer, without any action on your part.

Some games don’t have cloud save capabilities, and those saves will need to be transferred manually to an updated device.
