F1® 2021 is available through EA Play. You can play using EA Play on Xbox, PlayStation and Steam.

When playing F1® 2021, there are multiple modes to choose from depending on if you are connected to the internet or not.

Playing offline?

There are seven modes to choose from:

  • My Team
  • Driver Career
  • Braking Point (Story mode)
  • Grand Prix
  • Time Trial
  • LAN
  • Split-screen

Playing online?

There are six modes to choose from:

  • Driver Career (real season start)
  • Two Player Career*
  • Social Play*
  • Ranked*
  • Leagues*
  • Weekly Events+

* Console versions require PS+ or Xbox Live
+ Console versions require PS+ or Xbox Live for Weekly ‘Grand Prix’ events, but not ‘Featured’ or ‘eSports’ events

Cross-play

Want to hit the track with friends? In F1® 2021, cross-play is available but only to those playing within the same family of devices. For example, a PlayStation 4 player can go up against someone playing on a PlayStation 5, but not Xbox players.

Cross-save

Cross-saving your game is available for Xbox consoles only, and online progression carries over across both Xbox and PlayStation. For example, if you play F1® 2021 on Xbox, PS4 and PC, your save won’t carry across any of your devices, but online progression will be matched on PS4 and Xbox.
