Madden NFL 25’s Superstar mode puts you in the cleats of an up-and-coming NFL prospect with everything to prove. Your mission? To build a legend and take them to the top.

You’ll coach your custom player (also called your Avatar) through intense training, career-defining choices, and high-stakes plays. There are two ways to play Superstar—The League and Showdown.

Superstar: The League

Superstar: The League is where your NFL story takes center stage. This is where your solo career path begins, as you grind your way from Combine hopeful to NFL icon. Every decision shapes your story:

• Get real-time grading with post-game reports and drive feedback summaries
• Make impactful choices in media appearances, team interactions, and partnerships
• Complete goals to build rep, level up, and earn rewards

Superstar: Showdown

Take your Avatar online and compete against other players. The better you perform, the faster you rise.

Pro tip: Use the same Avatar in both modes to unlock rewards faster.

Create and customize your Avatar

To start your Superstar journey:

1. Go to the main menu in Madden NFL 25 and choose Superstar.
2. Select Enter Superstar.
3. Customize your Avatar:
   • Position: Quarterback, Halfback, Wide Receiver, Linebacker, or Cornerback
   • Physical appearance
   • Physique
   • Starting skills
   • Physical ratings
   • Apparel
   • Archetype: Available options depend on your Avatar’s position. The Archetype you choose determines your player's Key Abilities.
   • Apparel
   • Animations: Celebrations and emotes.

Note: You can only create one Superstar per position.

Crush the NFL Combine

Created your Avatar? Time to prove yourself at the Combine.

Showcase your skills in:

• Bench Press
• Broad Jump
• 40-Yard Dash.

Then, boost your draft stock with a timed, football-themed Combine Interview that tests your knowledge.

Your performance in each drill affects your draft position. Each drill has a range of expected results based on the player position and Archetype you chose when creating your Avatar. The team you’re drafted to depends on your Combine performance and the positional needs of that team.

Climb the NFL career ladder

You’ll start your career as a rookie. Here’s how to become a legend:

• Complete Weekly Activities to earn XP
• Use Skill Points to improve attributes
• Unlock perks, gear, and new animations

Track your real-time Player Grade to understand your strengths and focus on where to improve.

Take on Superstar quests
