Did you get an error message when trying to gift your friend a game? Here’s what it means:
Error code | Error message | What it means |
56001 | Sorry, this gift purchase can't be completed. The recipient doesn't currently have a valid EA Account. | Either your account or your friend’s account is ineligible for gifting. Check out the reasons for ineligibility below. |
56002 | Sorry, this gift purchase can't be completed. The product you've selected is no longer giftable. | The game that you’re trying to buy can't be gifted. |
56003 | Sorry, this gift purchase can't be completed. The recipient is ineligible to receive it. | There are a few reasons why someone would be ineligible for a gift. Check out those reasons below. |
56004 | Sorry, this gift purchase can't be completed. The person you were sending it to already owns it. | Your friend already owns the game you’re trying to gift them. |

You need to open gifts before they appear in your game library. Check for a gift notification on your My Home page, under the My Gifts tab in EA Account and Billing, or in your email.
Sign out of your account, restart Origin, and sign in again. The game should be in your game library. If you still don’t see it, contact us and we’ll help get that sorted out.
For the most part, yes! You can access your saved game file from a lower edition when you play any game made since 2011. In some cases, however, older games may not offer upgrade support.
