From December 12, 2022, The Sims 4: Legacy Edition will no longer be available on PC and Mac. Your saved games are unaffected (see below).

Sims 4: Legacy Edition is a free edition of The Sims 4 and The Sims 4: Deluxe Version for players on unsupported systems who already owned the full version of the game. As of December 12, 2022, the Legacy Edition will no longer be available

Why is this happening?

As of late 2019, we no longer support The Sims 4 on Non-Metal mac OS machines or PC 32-bit Operating Systems.

Before, players could download The Sims 4: Legacy Edition and would be able to play on these operating systems with some limitations. Now, we’re saying goodbye to Legacy Edition, so this option is no longer available.

To continue playing The Sims 4, update your operating system to 64-bit on your current device, or install and run the game on a different device that has a 64-bit Windows operating system.
