About the Actor career in The Sims 4

The Actor/Actress career comes with The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack. To join this career, select Find a Job from the phone or computer and choose Actor. When the Select an Agency pop-up appears, your Sim can choose between the A.I. Staffing Agency or the Everyday Extras Talent Agency.To get a part, open the Career panel (the briefcase icon in the bottom right of Live Mode) and select Check Open Auditions (the clipboard icon). You’ll get a pop-up notification with details on:

available gigs
recommended skill level
audition time
how much your Sim will earn.

After your Sim auditions for the part, you’ll get a notification letting you know if they got the part.

Actor career tasks

Each audition has a recommended skill level. Your Sim has a better chance of getting the part if their skill meets or exceeds that level. After your Sim signs up for an audition, check the Career panel to find out which skills they need to work on beforehand. If your Sim gets the part, they’ll have to complete some tasks to prepare. These differ depending on the role, but they’ll usually involve your Sim increasing a skill.
