About the Law career in The Sims 4

The Law career comes with The Sims 4 Discovery University Expansion Pack and has two career branches:
  • Judge 
  • Private Attorney.
To join this career, select Find a Job from the phone or computer and choose Law.A Sim wearing the court robes of a lawyer stands next to a table that holds a set of gold balance scales.

Law career tasks

To get a promotion in the Law career, your Sim needs to complete career tasks. These tasks change depending on your Sim’s rank in the Law career. To check what tasks your Sim needs to complete, open the Career Panel (the briefcase icon in the bottom right of the screen) in Live Mode. 

How to File Court Documents

Using the computer, select Career > Law Career > File Court Documents. 

How to Attend a Deposition

Using the computer, select Career > Law Career > Attend Deposition. Your Sim will briefly leave the Lot to complete this task.

How to Offer Legal Representation

Select a Sim and choose Friendly > Law Career > Offer Legal Representation.

How to Make Rulings

Using the computer, select Career > Law Career > Make Rulings. 

How to Obtain New Clients

    Meet new Sim and engage with Friendly interactions.

    Select Friendly > More Choices > Law Career > Meet Prospective Client.

When your Sim is promoted to rank 8, you’ll choose between the Judge or Private Attorney career path.

Using this cheat promotes your Sim by one rank in the Law career. You can use it multiple times to reach the top of the career path.

    Press Control + Shift + C to open the cheat dialogue box.

    Type testingcheats true and press Enter to turn on cheats. 
  3. 3
    Type careers.promote law into the cheat dialogue box and press Enter.
