We’re amazed by the passion players have for our games, and we’re always excited to see the creativity that comes from our community.

How to use EA’s content

Our fans can use our game content, including gameplay and original characters, for personal uses or personal projects, including fan sites and videos, as long as they follow these principles:
  • Don’t sell your content. Don’t use our game content for commercial purposes. This means don’t sell your fan art or merchandise with our game content, or put your fansite, videos, or other content behind paywalls like Patreon.
    • Exception: Passive advertising, the monetization of videos via partner programs (like YouTube or Twitch), or the monetization of fan sites via passive banner ads is allowed.
  • Follow the rules. Don’t use our games to engage in or promote conduct that’s prohibited under our User Agreement or Positive Play Charter. For example, don’t show hacks or cheats, promote the sale of in-game currency, display offensive or inappropriate content, obtain assets through “data mining", or distribute our games and content on file-sharing websites or torrents.
  • Don’t spoil the game. Don’t share non-public information or content from our games. For example, don’t stream or share details about our games prior to the official launch dates. If you signed a non-disclosure agreement as part of a Closed Beta or other playtest, press capture event, or early access opportunity, you must adhere to those terms.
  • Don’t imply endorsement or affiliation. Don’t use our brands, studios, or games to make it seem like your project is endorsed by or affiliated with us including, for example, by using our logos or game art on your website. If you have a website or other location where you’re displaying our game content, include the following statement: “This [project/website] is not endorsed by or affiliated with EA or its licensors.”
  • Don't merge our brand with yours. Our company, studio and game logos should not be combined with your own branding. For example, don't use the Battlefield logo in your social media channel profile image or banner, or incorporate our trademarks, like THE SIMS or the Plumbob, in your profile picture, social handle, or domain name.
  • Be original. Don’t use our games to create knock-off or spin-off games or products. While we’re grateful that our fans still love playing our older games, we don’t allow game revivals, fan games, or community-run servers for them. Don’t combine our game content with other third-party products, services, or brands. For example, don’t use footage from our games to promote someone else’s brand.
  • Don’t use licensed content. Many of our games include content that we license from third parties or that may otherwise have usage restrictions (for example, talent, brands, voices, music). Those third parties may have their own guidelines for how you can use their content. We do not provide you with any permission to use third-party content from our games. You use our game content at your own risk.
