Before you install the game, make sure to check out the minimum system requirements.

How to download The Sims 4 on PC and Mac

The Sims 4 Base Game is free to play across all platforms. For PC and Mac, you can download on the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games.

To download the game on the EA app

Launch the EA app and make sure you’re signed in.

Type “The Sims 4” into the Search bar.

On The Sims 4 page, click the Download button.

Check your install location and language preferences. Click Next.

Review the terms of play, then select Download.

Once the game is downloaded, you’ll see the Play button appear, which means it’s ready to go.

If you bought the game on disk (PC only)

Insert the game disk into your disk drive and follow the on-screen instructions.
