The Sims 2: Legacy Collection troubleshooting and common errors

Make sure your PC is ready to play The Sims 2: Legacy Collection:

  • Open the files on your computer and go to the \EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\EP9\TSData\Res\Config\Graphics Rules.sgr.
  • Using TextEdit check the file has this line: boolProp activeDeviceUseSoftwareRasterizer $useSoftwareRasterizer
  • If it doesn’t, add it
• Save the change, and re-launch the game.Sometimes using the -w command line prompt , and forcing the game to launch in windowed mode can resolve the issue.
