About the Athlete career in The Sims 4

The Athlete career comes with The Sims 4 Base Game and has two career branches: 
  • Professional Athlete  
  • Bodybuilder.

Athlete career tasks

To get a promotion in the Athlete career, your Sim needs to complete career tasks. These tasks change depending on your Sim’s career rank. To check what tasks your Sim has to complete, open the Career Panel (the briefcase icon in the bottom right of the screen) in Live Mode. 

How to Study Opponents

    Use the computer and select More Choices > Web > Study Opponents. 
  2. 2
    Or, use the TV and select Study Opponents 

How to Mentor Fitness

  1. 1
    Travel to a Gym. 
  2. 2
    Select a Sim who’s already working out and choose Mentor Fitness. 
    • This option only appears if their fitness skill is lower than your Sim’s.

    Locker Room Attendant
    • Pay Per Day: §133
    • Daily Tasks: Work Out
    • Promotion Requirements: Energized Mood, Reach Charisma Skill Level 2, Reach Fitness Skill Level 2
    • Career Rewards and New Interactions: §110, Athlete’s Trophy Case
  3. 3
    Team Mascot
    • Pay Per Day: §196
    • Daily Tasks: Work Out
    • Promotion Requirements: Energized Mood, Reach Charisma Skill Level 3, Reach Fitness Skill Level 3 
    • Career Rewards and New Interactions: §132, New Create a Sim Items
  4. 4
    Dance Team Captain
    • Pay Per Day: §273
    • Daily Tasks: Work Out
    • Promotion Requirements: Energized Mood, Reach Charisma Skill Level 4, Reach Fitness Skill Level 4
    • Career Rewards and New Interactions: §198, New Create a Sim Items
When your Sim is promoted to rank 5, you’ll choose between the Professional Athlete or Bodybuilder career path.

Athlete career promotion cheats

Using this cheat promotes your Sim by one rank in the Athlete career. You can use it multiple times to reach the top of the career path.

    Press Control + Shift + C to open the cheat dialogue box.

    Type testingcheats true and press Enter to turn on cheats. 
  3. 3
    Type careers.promote athletic into the cheat dialogue box and press Enter.
