Master the Vampire Lore skill in The Sims 4 to unlock new recipes and complete the Master Vampire Aspiration. Learn how to build the skill, earn rewards, and use cheats to level up faster.
About the Vampire Lore skill
- The Vampire Lore skill comes with The Sims 4 Vampire Game Pack. Unlike other Sims 4 skills, this one goes all the way up to level 15.
- Elder, Adult, Young Adult, Teen, and Child Sims can all build this skill.
- Building this skill is needed to complete the Master Vampire Aspiration and the Good Vampire Aspiration.
How to build Vampire Lore skill
There are multiple ways for your Sim to build the Vampire Lore skill. Some interactions only unlock when your Sim reaches a certain level.Some of the ways to build skill:- Using the computer, go to More Choices > Vampire Secrets > Search for Information on Vampires.
- When interacting with other Sims, select Interests > Ask about Vampire History.
Skill books for Vampire Lore work differently from other skills. Instead of buying them through a bookshelf, your Sim has to unlock them first. Building skill level will unlock new Vampire Tomes, read these to further build skill.Once unlocked, Sims can purchase Vampire Tomes on the computer by selecting Vampire Secrets > Purchase Vampire Tomes.The four Vampire Tomes to be unlocked are:
- Encyclopedia Vampirica Vol 1
- Encyclopedia Vampirica Vol 2
- Encyclopedia Vampirica Vol 3
- Ultimate Vampire Tome.
If you own The Sims 4 Discover University Expansion Pack, your Sim can attend skill-building classes. These are rabbit-holes, so your Sim will leave the Lot for some time and then come back when the class is over. Note: Skill Classes are only available between 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
- 1In Live Mode, select your Sim’s phone.
- 2Open the Business app (the briefcase icon).
- 3Choose Sit in on Skill Class (§250).
- 4In the pop-up menu, choose Vampire Lore. Your Sim will leave the Lot and gain Vampire Lore skill while at the class.
If you own The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack, your Sim can learn or teach the Vampire Lore skill using the Sharing is Caring Whiteboard. You’ll find this in Build Mode.
Vampire Lore skill levels
As your Sim builds the Vampire Lore skill, they’ll unlock new abilities and interactions along the way. A green progress bar will appear above your Sim’s head and gradually fill up as they’re building a skill. You can also check their progress by:- 1Entering Live Mode.
- 2Selecting the Sim Panel (bottom left).
- 3Selecting the Skills tab.
At this level, your Sim can Search for Information on Vampires using the computer.
At this level, your Sim can:
- Unlock The VonFlavius Vampire Emporium
- Buy the Encyclopedia Vampirica Vol 1
At this level, your Sim can order Plasma Packs on the computer.
At this level, your Sim can make Plasma Packs from Fish or Frogs.
At this level, your Sim can make Garlic Braids, Garlic Wreaths, and Garlic Garlands.
At this level, your Sim can order the Encyclopedia Vampirica Vol 2.
At this level, your Sim can Share Vampire Knowledge with other Sims.
At this level, your Sim can buy plants that are used in Vampire-specific recipes. The following are now unlocked:
- Plasma Fruit Seeds
- Wolfsbane Seeds
- Sixam Mosquito Trap Seeds

At this level, your Sim can:
- Prepare Plasma Fruit Salad
- Prepare the Plasma Jane Drink
At this level, your Sim can order the Encyclopedia Vampirica Vol 3.
At this level, your Sim can craft the Sunlight Reversal Cocktail.
At this level, your Sim can craft the Sunlight Resistance Cocktail.
At this level, your Sim can order the Ultimate Vampire Tome.
At this level, your Sim can craft the Draught of Reconfiguration.
At this level, your Sim can craft the Ultimate Vampire Cure.
Vampire Lore skill cheats
When using skill cheats, type in the number of the level you want to reach. For example, putting stats.set_skill_level vampirelore 7 into the cheat bar will get your Sim’s Vampire Lore skill up to level 7.PC and Mac
