Squad Battles lets you play against AI-controlled Squads in EA SPORTS FC™ Ultimate Team™. Play weekly competition matches to earn Battle Points, improve your Rank, and earn rewards.
How do Squad Battles work?
Squad Battles is an Ultimate Team™ mode where you take on AI-controlled Squads from the Ultimate Team™ community.
How do matches work in Squad Battles?
In Squad Battles, you play weekly competition matches to earn Battle Points toward your weekly score. You can keep playing afterward, but additional matches don’t count toward your weekly score.Your weekly competition matches count toward your weekly Squad Battles score. After you’ve played your weekly competition matches, you can keep playing Squad Battles. These additional matches don’t contribute to your weekly score, but you can still earn Coins and progress toward Objectives.
Squad Battles Co-Op lets you and a friend team up to play matches against AI-controlled Squads.To play a Co-Op match, invite a player from your Friends List in the Ultimate Team™ Main Menu. The Lobby Captain chooses the opponent and difficulty level, but both players earn Battle Points and Coins.If either player in the Co-Op Lobby has no weekly competition matches left, neither player earns Battle Points from the match.
How do Battle Points work?
You earn Battle Points at the end of each of your Squad Battles matches, which make up your weekly competition matches. These points determine your Rank in the weekly Squad Battles competition.If you end a match early or skip one by refreshing, you won’t earn any Battle Points for that match.How are Battle Points calculated?
The number of Battle Points you earn depends on whether you win or lose and the difficulty you choose for the match.Featured Squad Battles are special matches where you can play against Squads created by members of the FC community, like real footballers or pro players. You can replay Featured Squads to improve your score.How does ranking in Squad Battles work?
In Squad Battles, the Battle Points you earn each week determine your Rank. Each Rank includes a percentage of players based on their Battle Points.To reach the highest Rank, you need to earn more Battle Points than other players in the weekly competition.Your Rank can change even when you’re not playing. As other players earn Battle Points, they may move ahead of you before the weekly competition ends.The leaderboard updates approximately every five minutes.Is the Squad Battles leaderboard shared between platforms?
Yes. The Your Rank tab includes players across XBOX and PlayStation®, even if you haven’t opted in to cross-play.Instead of individual player names, the leaderboard shows brackets based on progression.Heads up: Nintendo Switch™ and Nintendo Switch 2 have separate leaderboards.When do I get my Squad Battle rewards?
You’ll get your rewards shortly after the weekly competition ends.Your Battle Points and final Rank determine your position in the weekly competition.How are Squad Battles opponents selected?
Your AI-controlled opponents in Squad Battles come from real Squads by other players in Ultimate Team™. These Squads were used by players in Squad Battles, Draft (Online and Offline), Ultimate Team™ Champions, and Rivals.How does FC choose my opponents?
At the start of each new Squad Battles competition, or after an Opponent Update, FC selects one Squad from each difficulty bucket: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Then, the game selects a fourth Squad from either the Easy or Medium buckets, with a 50% chance of the Squad coming from either bucket.Your opponents can be players from any platform.How do Squad refreshes work?
You’re in control of when you refresh Squads, so you can choose when you want to play your Squad Battles matches.If you refresh but haven’t completed the four available matches, the unplayed matches will still count towards your competitive matches for the week.You’re in control of when you refresh Squads.Can I reset refreshes?
No, if you refresh and skip matches that count towards your competitive matches for the week, you can’t get them back.What’s the difference between Squad Battles and PvE Live Events?
Squad Battles and PvE Live Events both let you play against AI-controlled opponents, but the experiences work differently.In Squad Battles, you play weekly competition matches to earn Battle Points, improve your Rank, and earn rewards after the competition ends.In PvE Live Events, you can:- play event-based matches against authentic teams
- complete Objectives based on the event and difficulty
- claim rewards through Objectives instead of waiting for the Squad Battles weekly competition to end.
