Find steps to redeem your code, download, and install the Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

Whether you’re a Paragon or a Renegade, you know that every mission needs a little prep-work.

Here’s a simple checklist to help you make sure installing the Mass Effect Legendary edition goes off without a hitch.

Redeem your code Check your free space Download and install Need help?

If you’ve bought a physical disc copy of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, or a digital code from a retailer (other than Xbox, PlayStation, Origin or Steam), you need to redeem your code before you can install your game.

Here’s how to redeem your code:

Because the Mass Effect Legendary Edition contains all three games, the free space needed to install it is bigger than you might expect.

Here’s (approximately!) how much free space you’ll need:

  • PC: 101 GB
  • PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5: 102 GB (EU, languages)/81 GB (North America, English only)
  • Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S: 89 GB

If you bought a digital copy of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, you’ll need to download and install it too:

This is a single download; you can’t download each game individually, and all downloadable content (DLC) is included. You may also need to download and install a patch before you can play.

As we mentioned, this is a large download, so it will likely take longer than usual.

While you’re waiting, you might want to check out what’s different in the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, or create your own #MyShepard using the Mass Effect custom art creator.
