With the Papercraft skill in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack, your Sims can craft unique two- and three-dimensional creations out of paper. From origami butterflies to wall-mounted paper mache critters, this skill lets Sims express their creativity. Build the skill and unlock fun new designs at each level. Plus, if you want to fast-track progress, you can use skill cheats to jump ahead. About the Papercraft skill

The Papercraft skill comes with The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack, and is a ten level skill.
  • Elder, Adult, Young Adult, Teen, and Child Sims can all build this skill. 
  • As Child Sims build the Papercraft skill, it also builds their Motor and Creativity skills.

How to build the Papercraft skill

There are multiple ways for your Sim to build the Papercraft skill. 

Practice Papercraft

Get straight into practicing the Papercraft skill by getting the DIY Delight Papercrafting Kit from Build Mode to start crafting.As your Sim’s skill level increases, they’ll unlock new papercrafts and color variants to try.

Read skill books

Reading skill books will work towards building skills but is slower than other methods. Books will only get you as far as level nine of a skill.  To buy skill books:

    Select a bookshelf and choose Purchase Books.
  2. 2
    In the pop-up, select the drop-down at the top-left that reads Show All.
  3. 3
    Choose Skill and scroll through to find the book you want to buy. These will be added to your Sim’s bookshelf.
The skill books are:
  • Papercraft Volume 1: Your First Folds and Scraps
  • Papercraft Volume 2: Precision, Patience, and Papercuts
  • Papercraft Volume 3: The Origami Culture.

Go to a skill-building class

If you own The Sims 4 Discover University Expansion Pack, your Sim can attend skill-building classes. These are rabbit-holes, so your Sim will leave the Lot for some time and then come back when the class is over.

    In Live Mode, select your Sim’s phone.

    Open the Business app (the briefcase icon).
  3. 3
    Choose Sit in on Skill Class (§250).
  4. 4
    In the pop-up menu, choose Papercraft Your Sim will leave the Lot and gain Papercraft skill while at the class.
Note: Skill Classes are only available between 9 AM - 9 PM.

Papercraft skill levels

As your Sim builds the Papercraft skill, they’ll unlock new rewards, abilities, and interactions along the way. The higher your Sim’s skill level, the more paper creations and paper colors will unlock.

This level unlocks:
  • Craft Origami interaction 
    • Sims can craft a Butterfly and a Paper Airplane.
  • Craft Paper Mache interaction. 
    • Sims can craft a Funky Animal.

This level unlocks: 
  • Paper Mache Plants
  • more paper colors for Origami Butterflies
  • more Paper Mache Funky Animals.

This level unlocks:
  • more paper colors for Origami Butterflies
  • more Paper Mache Funky Animals
  • more Paper Mache Plants.

This level unlocks: 
  • more Paper Mache Plants
  • Origami Frogs
  • Paper Mache Plumbird Mask that can be equipped via your Sim’s Personal Inventory.

This level unlocks: 
  • (Better) Paper Mache Animals
  • more paper colors for Origami Frogs. 

This level unlocks: 
  • Origami Llamas
  • more paper colors for Origami Frogs
  • more Paper Mache (Better Animals).

This level unlocks: 
  • Origami Cranes
  • More paper colors for Origami Llamas
  • More Paper Mache (Better Animals) 

This level unlocks:
  • Origami Jellyfish
  • more paper colors for Origami Cranes
  • more paper colors for Origami Llamas.

This level unlocks: 
  • Wall-Mounted Paper Mache Animal Heads
  • more paper colors for Origami Cranes
  • more paper colors for Origami Jellyfish.

This level unlocks:
  • Totally Realistic Paper Mache Critters
  • more paper options for Origami Jellyfish
  • more Wall-Mounted Paper Mache Animal Heads.

Papercraft skill cheats

When using skill cheats, type in the number of the level you want to reach. For example, putting stats.set_skill_level major_papercraft 7 into the cheat bar will get your Sim’s Papercraft skill up to level 7.

    Press Control + Shift + C to open the cheat dialogue box.

    Type testingcheats true and press Enter to turn on cheats. 
  3. 3
    Type stats.set_skill_level major_papercraft [skill level] and press Enter.
