Having an Avatar is a good way of showing your distinct style on TheSims3.com! Follow the steps below to create an avatar:

• Sign In to your account on The Sims 3 website and click on the My Page link on the top navigation bar.
• Right now, your Avatar will appear as a silhouette with a question mark in your My Page.
• Click on the pencil icon to choose a new avatar.
• You can choose between two types of Avatars to upload: Custom Uploaded Avatars you created or the Default Avatars on the website. Pet avatars are also included in these lists.
• To use your own created Sim, you will need to upload a Sim from the Launcher onto the Exchange. Once your Sim has been published to the site, the Sim will appear in the Uploaded Sims tab and will become selectable.
  
  
  
  
  
• To use a default avatar, just click the Default Avatars option, and choose one of the many options.
• You can click on an avatar to preview a larger version.
• Hit Update when you are done choosing your avatar.

Help! I can't see the Sim I want under my Uploaded Sims!

You can also pick a Sim as your avatar by opening your Sim's details from your My Studio section:

• Click on the 'My Studio' link from the My Page drop-down meno on the top-navigation.
• You should see a list of any items you've uploaded to the Exchange.
• Click on the Sim you want as your avatar (clicking on the Sim's name will take you to their details page).
• On the uploaded Sim's details page, you should see an option that reads 'Make this my avatar.'
• Clicking on the 'Make this my avatar' option should automatically assign the selected Sim as your avatar.

Note: Sims that you personally upload to the Exchange can only be used by you as an Avatar.
