What is cross-play?

Cross-play lets you play Need for Speed Unbound with friends across different platforms. For example, if you’re playing NFS Unbound on PC, turning cross-play on lets you play with players on PlayStation® 5 or Xbox Series X|S.Cross-play in NFS Unbound is available on:
  • PC
  • PlayStation® 5
  • Xbox Series X|S.

How to turn cross-play on or off

Cross-play is on by default in NFS Unbound. If you turn it off, you can play with others on the same platform as you. Follow these steps to manage your cross-play settings.

    Select Settings and Accessibility in the main menu.

    Go to Game.
  3. 3
    Toggle Enable Cross-play on or off.

How to add friends in NFS Unbound

    Go to Lobby.
  2. 2
    Select Player Search.
  3. 3
    Enter your friend’s EA ID.
  4. 4
    Select Add as EA Friend.
  5. 5
    Select Send EA Friend Request.
In the search bar, an icon next to your friend’s name shows the platform they’re playing on. Once they accept your request, you can play together. 

Does NFS Unbound support cross-progression?

No, if you switch platforms, your progress and content won’t carry over to your other platform.
