How to report naming and inappropriate chats

Report inappropriate player behavior, hateful chat content, harassment, or a player or guild name through an in-game ticket:

    Press Ctrl+/ or choose Customer Service from the System menu.
  2. 2
    Select Create Ticket.
  3. 3
    Choose the category based on what you’re reporting:
    • Inappropriate Player Behavior
    • Player/Guild Name
    • Harassment.
  4. 4
    Type in a description to let us know who you’re reporting and why.

    Select Create ticket.
If you’re near the player’s character in-game:
  1. 1
    Select their character.
  2. 2
    Right-click on their portrait.
  3. 3
    Select Additional Commands.
  4. 4
    Select Report.
  5. 5
    Choose the category based on what you’re reporting:
    • Spam
    • Real Life Threat/Suicide Threat
    • Harassment
    • Character Name
    • Guild Name.

    We’ll pull the information for your report directly from the game.

How to report cheating

To report suspected cheating and win trading in player-verus-player (PvP), send an email to pvpReports@swtor.com. Include the following info when sending a report:
  • your account name
  • the name of the character who was cheating or win trading
  • the server you were playing on
  • the time it occurred
  • any screenshots or video evidence you have.

How to ignore a player

Sometimes a player’s behavior doesn’t need to be reported,  but you might be happier not to see them in chat or be grouped with them.To ignore a character (and all characters in that player’s Legacy):

    When you’re in-game, use the /who slash command in chat or open the Social window (press O by default) to find the player.
  2. 2
    Right-click on their name in the list.
  3. 3
    Select Ignore player’s Legacy.
To stop ignoring a player:
  1. 1
    Open the Social window (press O by default).
  2. 2
    Select the Ignored Legacies tab.
  3. 3
    Right-click on their name in the list.
  4. 4
    Select Stop ignoring.

Profanity filtering

Profanity filtering is switched on by default in SW:TOR. You can toggle it on and off through the Preferences menu:

    Press Esc.
  2. 2
    Select Preferences.
  3. 3
    Select Chat.
  4. 4
    Select the Filter Profanity box to turn profanity filtering on, or uncheck it to turn it off.

    Select Apply to save your changes.

SW:TOR.com forums

Use this option to report forum posts on SWTOR.com to the Community Team:
  1. 1
    Log in to the forums so you can see the reporting option on posts.
  2. 2
    Find the post you want to report.
  3. 3
    Click the Report Post button at the top-right of the post.
  4. 4
    Tell us why you’re reporting it in the Message box.
  5. 5
    Click Send Report to send your report through to the SW:TOR Community Team.
