About the Astronaut career in The Sims 4

The Astronaut career comes with The Sims 4 Base Game and has two career branches:
  • Space Ranger  
  • Interstellar Smuggler.

Astronaut career tasks

To get a promotion in the Astronaut career, your Sim needs to complete career tasks. These tasks change depending on your Sim’s rank in the Astronaut career. To check what tasks your Sim needs to complete, open the Career Panel (the briefcase icon in the bottom right of the screen) in Live Mode. 

To send your Sim on a Space Mission

  1. 1
    Buy the Steampunk Flyamajig in Build Mode. 
  2. 2
    Select Build for (§1,000).
  3. 3
    When the rocketship is complete, select Explore Space.

Astronaut career promotion cheats

Using this cheat promotes your Sim by one rank in the Astronaut career. You can use it multiple times to reach the top of the career path.

    Press Control + Shift + C to open the cheat dialogue box.

    Type testingcheats true and press Enter to turn on cheats. 
  3. 3
    Type careers.promote astronaut into the cheat dialogue box and press Enter.
