Need to temporarily deactivate your EA Account? Read on to learn more.

You need to contact an EA Advisor if you want to deactivate your EA Account.

Unlike deleting your EA Account, deactivating it secures your progress and ensures that you can regain access to it at any time by reactivating your account later on.

Here’s what will happen, and what you can and can’t do if you deactivate your EA Account:

  • You can't log in or play games with your EA Account while it's deactivated.
  • Any platform accounts you’ve connected to your EA Account, like your Xbox gamertag or PlayStation™Network Online ID, will remain linked to the account.
  • Your Answers HQ posts and usernames will still be visible, but you won’t be able to edit or delete them.
  • You’ll still get transaction or marketing emails you opted in to, like notifications about upcoming games.
  • You can ask us to reactivate your account at any time. Once we verify ownership of your account, we’ll get you back into the game.

Ready to deactivate your account? Get in touch with us.

  • Check out Answers HQ to get help from other players and chat with the community.
  • Keep an eye on @EAHelp for everything from outage info to news about games.
