What’s cross-play?

Cross-play lets you play Skate with friends on other platforms. For example, if you play on PC but your friend plays on Xbox, you can still play together.Cross-play works on these platforms.
  • PC (EA app, Epic Games Store, Steam)
  • PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5
  • Xbox One and Xbox X|S

How to use cross-play in skate.

Cross-play is turned on automatically in Skate. To use it, you just need to add your friends to your in-game friends list. 
If you play on Xbox, your cross-play settings are determined by your platform settings. Learn more about cross-play on Xbox.

How to add friends in skate.

    Go to the Social & Spectate menu. 
    • You can find it in the Main Menu in the Hub tab.

    Select Search.
  3. 3
    Type in your friend’s username or ID. 
  4. 4
    Choose your friend’s username or ID, then select Add EA Friend.
  5. 5
    Your friend can then accept your request from their game. 
Friends you have on the EA app, other EA games, or your platform’s friends list will automatically appear in your in-game friends list. You can see which platform they’re using next to their username. If you add a friend from your platform’s friends list through Skate, you’ll be able to see them on your friends list if they use another platform. 
You can also see friend requests in the Requests tab of the Social & Spectate menu.

Why can’t I see my friends in skate.?

If you can’t see your friends in Skate, make sure you’ve added them as EA Friends. This means they should be automatically visible in Skate, and you can see what platform they’re using. Adding someone as an EA Friend means you can see them on every platform. If you’re only friends on one platform and you’re not EA Friends, you might not see your friend if they play on a different device.

How to turn off cross-play

    Open the Main Menu or Map.

    Press X.

    Select General. 
  4. 4
    Scroll to Cross-Play. 
  5. 5
    Toggle it to Disabled.

How do I turn off party invites or friend requests? 

You can change who can send you requests or invites.

    Go to the Social & Spectate menu.

    Choose the Settings tab. 
  3. 3
    Select Allow Party Invites or Allow Friend Requests and toggle it to your preferred setting.
    • You can choose Everyone, Friends Only, or No One.
