This is Skate’s main currency. Buy San Van Bucks with real-world money or earn it through the Season pass. San Van Bucks can be used to get premium cosmetics.
A currency you can earn by completing objectives. You can use Rip Chips to open product boxes.
A currency you can buy or earn by completing daily, weekly, or seasonal challenges. You can use Tix to progress through the Skate Pass and get new items from the pass.
Some events may offer limited-time event-specific currencies, which you can earn throughout the event and then use to get items tied to that event.
No, Rip Chips can’t be exchanged for Tix.
What’s the skate. Pass?
The Skate Pass is an in-game seasonal reward system where you can earn Tix and get new items.The Skate Pass has a Standard track, which is free, and a Premium track. You can upgrade to the Premium track from the in-game store using San Van Bucks.
How to get to the Isle of Grom
If you own Skate’s Season 3 Premium Pass, you can access the Isle of Grom beginning March 10, 2026. From April 14 to May 5, 2026, all players can access Grom during a multi-week in-game event. After May 5, 2026 you can access Grom via the Season 3 Premium Pass or by redeeming 500 Rip Chips for a 24-hour Water Taxi Day Pass.Go to the Skate Season 3 blog post to learn more about how to access the Isle of Grom.
