The Sims 4 Marketplace: how it works and how to find missing content

In The Sims 4 Marketplace, you can browse and buy Kits, Maker Packs, Expansion Packs, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs for The Sims 4. You can access the Marketplace in-game or on Web. This guide explains how the Marketplace works, where to find it, how Moola is used, how to troubleshoot missing content, and more.

What is the Marketplace in The Sims 4?

The Sims 4 Marketplace has replaced the Store as the official place to browse and buy content for The Sims 4.Whether you’re giving your Sim another makeover or want to feed your Build mode obsession, here’s what you can buy In the Marketplace:
  • Kits
  • Maker Packs
  • Expansion Packs
  • Game Packs
  • Stuff Packs.
Some content in The Sims 4 Marketplace can only be purchased using Moola, the official Marketplace virtual currency. 
The Sims 4 Marketplace is different from The Sims 4 Gallery. While you can buy Packs and other downloadable content in the Marketplace, the Gallery lets players share their creations with other Simmers. The Gallery isn’t being replaced or changed by the Marketplace and will continue to function as usual.Check out our guide to learn more about how to use the Gallery.

Where can I find The Sims 4 Marketplace?

You can access The Sims 4 Marketplace in two ways:
Where you can buy and download Marketplace content depends on the platform you use to play The Sims 4.

If you play The Sims 4 on PC or Mac

You can:
  • browse and buy content in The Sims 4 Marketplace content in-game
  • browse and buy content in The Sims 4 Marketplace on Web.

If you play The Sims 4 on console

You can:
  • browse and buy content in The Sims 4 Marketplace content in-game
  • browse content in The Sims 4 Marketplace on Web, but you can only make Marketplace purchases in-game. 

How do I use The Sims 4 Marketplace?

Here’s how to access and use The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game or on Web.
You can access and use The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game if you’re playing The Sims 4 on PC, Mac, or console.

    Launch The Sims 4.

    From the Main Menu, select Marketplace at the top of the screen.
Note: The Main Menu is the home screen where you can resume, load, or start a game.

You can also access the Marketplace in-game while playing.

    Open Live Mode, Build Mode, or Create a Sim.

    Select the shopping cart icon in the top-right corner to open the Marketplace.
To use The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game, you must be online. You can still play The Sims 4 offline, but the only part of the Marketplace available offline is your Collection. If you made a recent Marketplace purchase in-game and are playing The Sims 4 offline, you may need to go online to find your recently purchased items.

How do I use Moola in The Sims 4 Marketplace?

  • the type of content you’re buying
  • where you’re buying it.

Where’s my The Sims 4 Marketplace content?

If you got Maker Packs or Kits in The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game, they should be available to download on demand. You don’t need to restart The Sims 4 before using them.If you got content in The Sims 4 Marketplace on Web, it should appear in your game shortly after your purchase is complete.

How do I find missing Marketplace content?

If you can’t find your Marketplace content in the game, here are some things to try.
  • Open the Marketplace and go to the My Collection tab. Select Manage Storage to check if your content is installed.
  • Launch the game, open Build Mode or Create a Sim, and search for your missing content by using the Maker Packs Filter
  • If you made a recent Marketplace purchase in-game and are playing The Sims 4 offline, you may need to go online to find your recently purchased items.
  • Restart your PC, Mac, or console. Then, launch The Sims 4, and check if your content is still missing.
  • Sign out of the platform you play The Sims 4 on and sign back in, then check if your content appears.
  • Check that you’re logged in to the correct EA Account. 
  • If you’re playing on console, make sure your console account is linked to your EA Account. Check out our guide to get help with account linking.

How do I get help with missing or broken content?

  • you tried the recommended steps for finding missing Marketplace content, but still can’t find it
  • your Marketplace content is broken, or isn’t working as expected.
Before contacting us, make sure you have the following information ready to help us investigate your issue:
  • the email address on your EA Account
  • the platform you play on (PC, Mac, PS5, XBOX Series X|S, etc.)
  • your platform account ID (PlayStation® Online ID, XBOX gamertag, etc.)
  • your time zone
  • the name of the content that’s missing or broken
  • screenshots of the affected Marketplace items (if it’s broken or not working as expected).

Can I still use Mods?
