In The Sims 4 Marketplace, you can browse and buy Kits, Maker Packs, Expansion Packs, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs for The Sims 4. You can access the Marketplace in-game, on Web, or in the EA app. This guide explains how the Marketplace works, where to find it, how Moola is used, how to troubleshoot missing content, and more.
What’s The Sims 4 Marketplace?
The Sims 4 Marketplace is the official place to browse and buy content for The Sims 4.Whether you’re giving your Sim another makeover or want to feed your Build mode obsession, here’s what you can buy in the Marketplace:- Kits
- Maker Packs
- Expansion Packs
- Game Packs
- Stuff Packs.
The Sims 4 Marketplace is different from The Sims 4 Gallery. While you can buy Packs and other downloadable content in the Marketplace, the Gallery lets players share their creations with other Simmers. The Gallery isn’t being replaced or changed by the Marketplace and will continue to function as usual.Check out our guide to learn more about how to use the Gallery.
Maker Packs are community-created content Packs available only through The Sims 4 Marketplace. They range in size from three to fifty Items and include either Build/Buy or Create a Sim content.These Packs are made by Makers (official Sims community content creators) and quality-approved by The Sims team, which helps make sure they’re malware-free and safe to download.

How do I use The Sims 4 Marketplace?

You can access and use The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game if you play The Sims 4 on PC, Mac, PlayStation®, or XBOX.Note: The Main Menu is the home screen where you can resume, load, or start a game.
You can also access the Marketplace in-game while playing.To use The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game, you must be online. You can still play The Sims 4 offline, but the only part of the Marketplace available offline is My Collection. If you made a recent Marketplace purchase in-game and are playing The Sims 4 offline, you might need to go online to find your recently purchased items.

How do I use Moola in The Sims 4 Marketplace?

If you're using the in-game Marketplace on PC, Mac, or console, you can use Moola to buy:You can use real-world currency in the The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game to buy:* You can use Moola to buy select Kits in The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game. Some Kits must be bought with real-world currency. All Kits are available to buy with real-world currency in the EA app or the Steam Store.

You’ll need to make Marketplace purchases in-game instead.

- When you buy content from The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game with real-world currency, it’s added to the platform you use to play The Sims 4.
- This includes:
- Expansion Packs
- Game Packs
- Stuff Packs
- Kits.
- Depending on your chosen download settings, you might need to download and install your Marketplace content before you can use it in-game.
- If you used Moola to get a Maker Pack or Kit in The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game, they should be available to download on demand.
- Make sure you go to My Collection in the Marketplace to download and install your Marketplace content. You don’t need to restart The Sims 4 before using it in your game.
If you bought content in the Marketplace on Web with real-world currencyIf you bought content in the Marketplace on Web with Moola If you bought a Maker Pack in The Sims 4 Marketplace on Web, you might need to download and install the content when you next launch The Sims 4.
- When you buy content from The Sims 4 Marketplace on Web with real-world currency, it’s added to the PC or Mac platform you use to play The Sims 4.
- This includes:
- Expansion Packs
- Game Packs
- Stuff Packs
- Kits.
- Depending on your chosen download settings, you might need to download and install your Marketplace content before you can use it in-game.
- 1Launch The Sims 4.
- 2From the Main Menu, select Marketplace at the top of the screen.
- The Main Menu is the home screen where you can resume, load, or start a game.
- 3Select My Collection and choose the Maker Packs tab.
- 4Find the content you bought.
- If there’s a grey Not Installed label in the bottom-left corner of the tile, it means it’s not currently installed or available to use in-game.
- 5Select the content tile to open its product page. Then, select Download.
When your purchase in the EA app is complete, you’ll be directed back to the product page of content you bought. Select Download or Redeem to add the content to your game. You can also download the content through your EA app Library:If you can’t find your content, learn how to manually install Packs you bought in The Sims 4 Marketplace.
- 1Launch the EA app and go to your Library.
- 2Select The Sims 4 and choose the Overview tab.
- 3Select Manage > Manage add-ons.
- 4Find The Sims 4 Marketplace content you bought and select Download.
If you can’t find your Marketplace content in the game, here are some things to try.
- Open the Marketplace in-game and go to the My Collection tab. Select Manage Storage to check if your content is installed.
- Launch the game, open Build Mode or Create a Sim, and search for your missing content by using the Maker Packs Filter.
- If you made a recent Marketplace purchase in-game and are playing The Sims 4 offline, you might need to go online to find your recently purchased items.
- Restart your PC, Mac, or console. Then, launch The Sims 4, and check if your content is still missing.
- Sign out of the platform you play The Sims 4 on and sign back in, then check if your content appears.
- Check that you’re logged in to the correct EA Account.
- If you used real-world currency to buy Marketplace content, log in to your EA Account and check your Order History to make sure your purchase went through successfully.

How do I get help with missing or broken content?
Missing content? We know how frustrating that can be. It’s enough to put anyone in a Tense moodlet, but we're here to help.Get in touch with us if:- you tried the recommended steps for finding missing Marketplace content, but still can’t find it
- your Marketplace content is broken, or isn’t working as expected.
- the email address on your EA Account
- the platform you play on (PC, Mac, PS5, XBOX Series X|S, etc.)
- your platform account ID (PlayStation® online ID, XBOX gamertag, etc.)
- your time zone
- the name of the content that’s missing or broken
- screenshots of the affected Marketplace items (if it’s broken or not working as expected).
Maker Packs and Kits purchased through The Sims 4 Marketplace are non-refundable. However, we may make exceptions depending on the circumstances.Some platforms and stores have their own refund policies, which means we won't be able to process a refund for you. In these cases, you'll need to contact the platform or store support team directly to request your refund.
Can I still use Mods?
The Sims 4 Marketplace gives you access to fully reviewed and safe-to-download content created by some of the community’s favourite Makers.PC and Mac players can still use Mods and custom content in the same way as before. No. Only Makers accepted into The Sims Maker Program can create, share, and earn revenue on the Marketplace.
