A quick workaround that should solve your stuck installation.
If your installation of The Sims 3 on Mac gets “stuck” at 32 or 34 files in, try the following workaround to get your game up and running:
- Open the Origin Client, then the Origin menu, and select Preferences.
- Select Advanced, then Browse Game Installers.
- In the DownloadCache folder you’re taken to, delete any Sims 3 related folders, then log out of and restart the Origin Client.
- Re-download The Sims 3 and install as usual.
Your game should now install without getting stuck at a certain point in the process. If you continue to have issues, don’t hesitate to contact an advisor for further help.
