Learn how to link your Plants vs. Zombies 2 (PvZ 2) account on iOS and Android to save your progress.

EA Account iOS Android Multiple devices

When you link your account, your progress is always saved no matter where you’re playing. As an extra bonus for linking, you’ll get 100 gems.

Linking your PvZ 2 account is the only way to save progress—our advisors can’t restore any lost progress.

  1. Open your game.
    • If this is your first time launching the game, complete the tutorial first.
  2. Select the cloud icon on the bottom left of the home page.
  3. Select Register email.
  4. Log in using your existing EA Account.

PvZ 2 uses your iCloud account to save your progress across your Apple devices. To use this feature, link your iCloud account and turn on automatic backup.

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Select iCloud.
    • Sign in to your iCloud account if you’re not already.
  3. Select iCloud Backup.
  4. Toggle On your preferred iCloud Backup method.

PvZ 2 uses your Google account to sync game progress across your Android devices.

  1. Launch PvZ 2.
  2. Select the Controller icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the main menu.
  3. Log in to your Google account.

Yes, you can link both devices with the same iCloud or Google account.

Be careful—if anyone accidentally deletes PvZ on one of your devices, it’ll be lost on both.

Can I use more than one iCloud or Google account with PvZ 2?

Linking PvZ 2 to different iCloud or Google accounts syncs your game progress and profile data. This means that the new account will have permanent access to your profile and can risk accidental deletion of your game.

To avoid this, don’t link PvZ 2 to other iCloud or Google accounts on your devices.

In PvZ 2, the only way to unlink your account is by deleting it.

Deleting your mobile game account is permanent across all devices. We won’t be able to recover your in-game items or progress, and you won’t be able to recover your account on a different iOS or Android device.
