Report players in GRID Legends

Learn how to block or kick someone who isn’t playing fair in GRID Legends, or to report their name.

When you download and install any EA game, you agree to play by our rules.

Check out our Positive Play charter to learn how we’re working to keep our games fun and fair for everyone.

If you’re having a bad time with someone in GRID Legends, we’ve added some tools to help you keep them out of your races.

Block them

If someone is overdoing it as your nemesis, and getting in the way of your fun in-game, you can block them. Blocking someone means that you won’t be matched up with them in multiplayer anymore.

If someone’s on your Friends list, you can remove them from it to stop them from being able to Hop In on your races. You can also set your Host Privacy to Offline or Private to limit who can Hop In on your races.

Remove or block players from your EA Friends list in the Social menu.

Switch Host Privacy settings in the Gameplay menu.

To remove someone from your Friends list:

  1. In-game, open the Options menu.
  2. Select Social.
  3. Select Friends.
  4. Find them in your Friends list and select their name.
  5. Select Remove Friend.

To block someone (this also removes them from your Friends list):

  1. In-game, open the Options menu.
  2. Select Social.
  3. Select Options.
  4. Select Online Players.
  5. Find them in the list and select their name.
  6. Select Block and confirm that on the pop-up.

Kick them from Multiplayer

If you’re hosting a Multiplayer session and someone is intent on ruining everyone’s fun, you can kick them from the race:

  1. Press Pause.
  2. Select Player List.
  3. Find their name in the list and select it.
  4. Choose Kick and confirm that on the pop-up.

You can also kick them in the post-race screen, or from the Player Lobby. If they’re persistently causing problems, you may also want to block them.

Reporting a player’s name

It’s not fun having to spend a race in the company of someone who has a username that’s rude, hateful, or threatening.

You can report a player’s name from many places in-game, including:

  • The Player Lobby
  • Your Friends list
  • From the Online Sessions tab
  • From the list of Online Players
  • From the pre-race action screen
  • From the Pause menu during a race
  • From the results screen at the end of a race

To report a name:

  1. Select the player’s name from the list, and choose Report name.
  2. Confirm the pop-up to send the report through to us.
