Origin has gone almost fully digital. That means that for newer games, instead of installing with a disc, you can redeem your Product Code and start downloading your game immediately.

You might still need to use the disc if you live in certain regions or if you’re trying to install one of our older games. If you have a game that requires a disc installation, here’s how you can do that:

Install your game disc in the Origin client

1. Log in to the Origin client.
2. Click Origin in the menu bar and select Redeem Product Code.
3. Enter your game code and click Next.
4. Close the code redemption window.
5. Insert your game disc into your computer’s disc drive.
6. Click Install on the game installation pop-up window.
7. Follow any prompts to install your game.

If your game automatically starts downloading and you would rather install by disc:

1. Right-click the game's tile in your My Game Library.
2. Click Cancel Download.
   • You can also click the X button in the popup window to cancel your download.
3. Clear your Origin data cache to delete any files your computer already downloaded. 
4. Insert your game disc into your computer’s disc drive.
5. Click Install on the game installation pop-up window.
6. Follow any prompts to install your game.
