On the EA app

Use our video guide to learn how to buy games in the EA app, or follow these steps:

1. Launch the EA app.
2. Select Browse.
3. Find the game you want to buy in the EA app Store.
4. Select Buy the game, then Purchase.

   

   • If there are different editions of the game available, choose Select Edition to choose the edition you want to buy, then select Buy.

   • If there’s only one edition of the game available, select Purchase.

5. Choose to pay with a saved payment method, enter a new payment method, or use your EA Wallet.
6. Select Proceed to Review Order.

From Origin for Mac

Follow these steps to buy your game from Origin:

1. Launch the Origin client.
   
2. Select Store.
3. Browse or search for your game and select on the game tile to view more details.
4. Choose Buy or Pre-order Now.
   • You can also add a game to your wishlist here, or you can give the game as a gift to one of your Origin friends.
5. If you’re already signed in to your EA Account, the Payment Information page will load.
   • If you're not logged in yet, sign in with your EA Account login details to get to the Payment Information page.
   • If you don’t have an account with us, click Create an account to sign up. Once you’re registered, the Payment Information page will load.
6. Enter your payment information or use a payment method you've already saved to your account. Select Proceed to Review Order.

If you have a promotional code, click Enter Promo Code, enter your code in the box, then select Submit.

After you buy your game

We’ll send you a confirmation email for your purchase. If you're having trouble finding it, check your spam or junk folders.

Here’s how to view your EA order history and status information.

You can use the Family Activity Report to view the order history of your teen or child, but you’ll need to link your adult EA Account to theirs first.

You can view and manage your payment methods on the Payment and Wallet tab of your EA Account.

Your credit card will be charged the day after you make your purchase. Any applicable sales taxes will be added to the price you see when placing your order.

You may see a small transaction on your account's online statement within a day or two of any pre-order purchase or update to your saved payment method.

These are temporary transactions we use to verify the payment information called pre-authorization charges. These will be refunded to you automatically within seven business days.

Depending on your bank, there are a few other reasons why you might see a small additional charge associated with your purchase

• an international transaction fee
• a cross-border transaction fee
• a currency exchange fee.

These fees don’t come from us, and we can’t help you with them. Contact your bank or credit card provider to understand these charges.

Did you buy the wrong game, expansion, or DLC?

• If you haven’t already downloaded the content, find your order number and reach out to us.
• If you already downloaded and started playing the game, you might still be covered by the Great Game Guarantee.
• If you want to make a change to your pre-order, cancel it and request a refund any time before the release date.

How do I find my order number?

Find your order number in the email receipt from your purchase or by viewing your Order History on the Payment and Wallet tab of your EA Account.

Once you’ve found your order number, follow the below steps to get an advisor to make a change to your order:

1. On the EA Help homepage, enter the title of your game or product into the search bar.
2. Select the game you need help with from the search results.
3. Select See all help topics.
4. Select the Orders category.
5. Select I want to check my order status.
6. Select the available option to connect with an EA Advisor.

Use these tips to make sure you enter your payment info correctly.

• Enter your card number as a continuous string of numbers with no dashes or spaces.
• For card verification, enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your billing statement. Your card provider may decline the purchase if it doesn’t match exactly.
• If you use a card or PayPal, you can save your payment information on your account. If you use a different payment method, you’ll have to enter the information for it every time you buy something.
• Select Set as Primary to make one of your saved payment methods the default at checkout.
• For security reasons, our advisors can’t update your payment information for you. To update your saved payment info, go to the Payment and Wallet tab of your EA Account.
  • Select Add Payment Method to save a new payment method.
  • Select Modify to edit the details for a saved payment method. This option will only be available if the payment method can be updated.
  • Select Delete to remove a payment method.
