What’s new in Apex Legends: Breach?
Breach, the newest Season of Apex Legends, launches on February 10, 2026. Read the patch notes for the latest info.Hardlight hits the Outlands
Hardlight is the newest mechanic in Apex Legends: Breach: destructible and repairable windows that turn buildings into close-quarters battlefields. When intact, you can see through Hardlight Mesh but can’t shoot or move through it until it’s broken.Hardlight windows are purple. When you start a match, all Hardlight windows will be intact—but if you can see them, you can damage them.Hardlight windows take extra damage from explosives, melees, weapons like shotguns and snipers, and certain Legend abilities. They also take damage from the Ring.Once a Hardlight window has been broken, it’ll eventually start rebuilding itself. Rebuilding is only activated if the window is fully broken. Controller Legends can reinforce or rebuild Hardlights: if they reinforce a Hardlight window, it’ll increase its strength. You’ll find Hardlight windows in all Core maps.Fuse, Catalyst, and Bloodhound updates
Fuse, Catalyst, and Bloodhound have had their abilities upgraded this Season. Fuse- Fuse’s tactical ability has a faster weapon stow time, reduced delay before explosions, and increased damage. His second set of cluster explosions has been removed.
- Fuse’s ultimate, The Motherlode, has been reworked to now fire a mortar that explodes against the ground, then sprays out smaller explosives around its landing point.
- Catalyst’s passive can now reinforce up to four doors.
- Her tactical has an increased toss range and reduced delay on spikes, making it better for distracting enemies.
- Her ultimate can now be deployed horizontally, build up through doors, and has an increased placement range. Bullets going through her wall deal 50% less damage.
- Their tactical scan duration has increased to four seconds. Fewer clues will appear on-screen when your tactical successfully scans an enemy.
- Their ultimate cooldown and activation time has been reduced. If Bloodhound gets a knock while in their ultimate, their ultimate duration extends knocked.
Play against bots and people in Bot Royale Evolved
Bot Royale Evolved is a Battle Royale experience similar to Unranked Trios where you play against a mix of humans and bots. It’s a more relaxed mode with tighter matchmaking compared to Trios, which means you’ll only play against either bots or human players at a similar level to you. If there aren’t enough humans at a similar rank, the game will add more bot squads. Bots can’t be part of your squad.Check out our game modes guide to learn more. What are Seasons in Apex Legends?
