Your date of birth helps determine your account settings, age restrictions, and access to some EA services. In most cases, you can’t edit your date of birth after your EA Account is created, but there are a few situations where EA Help may be able to help.

How do I edit my birth date?

If your account is a child account, some settings can only be managed by a parent or guardian.

Why can’t I see an edit option for my date of birth?

Your date of birth usually becomes locked after your EA Account is created. Your date of birth is used to:
  • confirm your age
  • apply your country’s age requirements
  • determine whether your account is a child account
  • help protect your account security.
Because of this, players typically can’t directly edit the date of birth after the account is created.
Make sure the birth date on your EA Account matches your real date of birth. Using incorrect information may affect account access, age-restricted features, or account recovery.
