Setting up an EA Account for the first time
An EA Account is your digital identity for EA’s games and services. It helps you save your progress, play online multiplayer, connect across platforms, and access in‑game features.You need an EA Account to play most EA games, even if you’re playing through a different platform like Steam.Create your EA Account

You can only link your EA Account to your chosen platform, streaming, or mobile account once. Make sure to choose an account you’ll always have access to.
Unlocking rewards
Linking your EA Account is also the easiest way to earn rewards. Once you're connected, you can earn in-game rewards for select games by watching your favorite creators or claiming offers through Twitch Drops and YouTube rewards. When you’ve finished setting up your EA Account, make sure you secure it with two-factor authentication (2FA). 2FA gives you extra account security and makes it harder to hack your account.Setting up a child or teen account
Parents or guardians can set up an EA Account for a child or teen in-game or through the EA app. Learn more about setting up a child account.What’s the difference?
- A child account is for younger players (age depends on region) and comes with higher restrictions for online play, chat, and spending.
- A teen account has fewer restrictions but still offers parental/guardian oversight. You can upgrade your child's account to a teen account when they reach the required age in your country.
Did you approve a game for your child, but it’s still not showing up in your child’s account?Check your console or PC parental controls. Sometimes your platform’s settings can override the account settings. Make sure the settings match, sign out, then sign back in again.
