Cross Progression lets you share your game progress across PC, PlayStation®, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch™. With Cross Progression, you can access your Apex Legends account, progress, and cosmetics no matter what platform you’re playing on. You can’t opt out of it.
All Apex Legends players have Cross Progression by default. To use Cross Progression, link your platform accounts to your EA Account on the platforms you want to play on.
Follow these steps to link your platform accounts to your EA Account.
Your Apex Legends progress is permanently tied to your EA Account. Your progress can’t be moved to a different EA Account after you’ve started playing.
If you’re new to Apex Legends, make sure you create an Apex Legends account with the EA Account you want to use. You’ll have access to Cross Progression as soon as you start playing.
If you’ve played Apex Legends before, here’s everything you need to know about how Cross Progression might’ve impacted your account.
If you had one Apex Legends account when we introduced Cross Progression, this account is your Cross Progression account. All your content will be on this account.
If you had more than one Apex Legends account linked to your EA Account when we introduced Cross Progression, your accounts were merged to create a single Cross Progression account.
The profile with the highest account level is now your Cross Progression account.
Your achievement badges and stats from your highest level account will be on your Cross Progression account, but you’ll have lost stats from your additional accounts. You may also have lost achievement badges from additional accounts and numbers on badges.
You might lose some content when your Cross Progression account is created.
If you lose anything you can't get back through gameplay, we'll try to add it back to your account in the future.
We won't restore lost content that you can regain through gameplay.
If your Apex Legends progress was spread across multiple EA Accounts, then your accounts weren’t merged. You can use Cross Progression on your separate EA accounts, but the content from these accounts hasn’t been merged together.
You can’t move progress from one EA Account to another. Unlinking a platform from your EA Account and linking it to another one won’t move your progress.
You can’t merge Apex Legends accounts or EA Accounts. Read more about account merging here.
If you’ve lost game progress because of Cross Progression, you can learn more about missing progress here. We can’t restore content that was lost during the merge or that hasn’t been merged.
