Settings Membership Payment & billing Cancellation More help

Did you buy your EA Play membership from Steam?

You’ll need to go back to Steam for help with account management, billing, and cancellation. You won’t be able to see your membership information in your EA Account settings either.

If you’ve never had a membership before, you won’t have an EA Play tab in your Settings. Make sure you’re signed in to the right account.

  1. Go to your EA Account.
  2. Click EA Play

If you're an active member of EA Play, you’ll be able to see your current Membership type.

If you used to have EA Play but cancelled your membership, you'll see your status as Cancelled. You’ll have the option to Renew Membership to join again.

  • If you’ve just cancelled but weren’t at the end of your membership period, you’ll see your Membership Expiration date. You can enjoy all the perks of membership until then.
  • Your payment method for EA Play can't be removed until the membership is officially over. This is because you have an option to "undo" the cancellation up until the membership ends, and we want to make sure your payment method is still listed.

EA Play memberships are recurring until you cancel them, except in Brazil. EA Play members in Brazil can buy stacking memberships. They’re stackable so you can buy a few at a time, and they’re continuous so you won’t lose a minute of game time.

See if you have a monthly or yearly Membership in your EA Account. Click Change to switch plans.

Find your Next Billing Date to know when you’ll be charged.

Check what Payment Method you’ve got on file with us.

  • Want to change it? Click Edit next to your current payment method, and put in your new information.

You must save a payment method to remain an active EA Play member. Find out what payment methods you can use to make your purchase.

Use your EA Wallet to buy EA Play

Add funds to your EA Wallet and use them for your EA Play membership.

If you don’t have enough balance in your EA Wallet, it won’t show up as an option to pay when you’re checking out. Make sure you've got enough to cover the cost in your EA Wallet before making your purchase.

If you don’t have enough balance in your EA Wallet for the next charge, we’ll send you a reminder email. You can prevent your membership from expiring by adding more funds to your EA Wallet or changing your payment method.

Right now, you can only use your EA Wallet to buy a membership for EA Play in these regions:

  • Belgium
  • Brazil
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Click Cancel Membership to end your membership.

Once you’ve confirmed you want to cancel, you’ll continue to have your membership benefits until the end of your current billing cycle.

If you already cancelled and want to rejoin, there will be an option to Renew Membership if you’ve just recently cancelled, or Sign up if it’s been awhile.

Are EA Play memberships refundable?

EA Play memberships are not refundable. There are some exceptions to this that allow us to offer refunds under certain circumstances. To learn more, get in touch with us.

Things to know:

  • Once your membership is cancelled, you’ll no longer have access to games in The Play List.
  • When you cancel, you’ll have access to all membership features until the start of your Next Billing Date.
  • If your membership expires or you cancel it, you won’t be able to play games available with EA Play unless you’ve purchased them separately, or you reactivate your membership.
  • If you backed up all of your game saves or characters before upgrading, you can go back to those earlier saves to keep playing.
  • Saves with progress you’ve made since upgrading may still work after downgrading with some games, but others have features, items, or areas only available with the upgraded version. You won’t be able to access these save games on downgraded game versions.
